DETEKSI KEBERADAAN STADIUM Leucocytozoon sp. PADA AYAM RAS (Gallus domesticus) DAN AYAM BURAS (Gallus gallus domesticus)

ABSTRAK


Leucocytozoonosis merupakan suatu penyakit yang menyerang ternak unggas yang disebabkan oleh parasit darah dari filum apicomplexa yaitu Leucocytozoon. Leucocytozoon sp. mempunyai tiga stadium dalam siklus hidupnya yaitu skizogoni, gametogoni dan sporogoni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi keberadaan stadium perkembangan Leucocytozoon sp. yaitu hepatoskizon, megaloskizon, merozoit dan gametosit pada ayam ras dan ayam buras di Pasar Lambaro, Kecamatan Ingin Jaya, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah paru-paru, hati dan darah dari 30 ekor ayam ras dan 30 ekor ayam buras. Koleksi sampel paru-paru dan hati dilakukan dengan menggunakan pinset dan ditempatkan kedalam ice box yang berisi ice pack. Sampel darah dikoleksi dengan spuit melalui Vena brachialis dan kemudian dimasukkan kedalam tabung vacutainer yang berisi EDTA(Ethylene Diamine Tetra-Acetic Acid). Sampel yang telah dikoleksi dibawa ke laboratorium parasitologi Universitas Syiah Kuala untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan. Pemeriksaan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode gerusan organ dan metode apusan darah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 7 (tujuh) ekor ayam ras dan 10 (sepuluh) ekor ayam buras yang terinfeksi oleh Leucocytozoon sp. dengan persentase 23,33% pada ayam ras dan 33,33% pada ayam buras. Stadium yang ditemukan berupa megaloskizon, merozoit dan gametosit.

DETECTION OF THE PRESENCE OF STAGES Leucocytozoon sp. IN PUREBRED CHICKENS (Gallus domesticus) AND FREE-RANGE CHICKENS (Gallus gallus domesticus) AT LAMBARO MARKET ABSTRACT Leucocytozoonosis is a disease that attacks poultry caused by blood parasites from the phylum apicomplexa, namely Leucocytozoon. Leucocytozoon sp. has three stages in its life cycle, namely schizogony, gametogony, and sporogony. This study aims to detect the presence of Leucocytozoon development stages, namely hepatoschizons, megaloschizons, merozoites and gametocytes in purebred and free-range chickens at Lambaro Market, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency. The samples used in this study were lungs, liver and blood from 30 purebred chickens and 30 free-range chickens. Lungs and liver samples were collected using tweezers and then placed into an ice box containing ice packs. Blood sample were collected with a syringe through the brachial vein and then placed into a vacutainer tube containing EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra-Acetic Acid). The samples that have been collected are taken to the parasitology laboratory of Syiah Kuala University for examination. Sample examination was carried out using the organ scouring method and the blood smear method. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively. The results of the examination showed that 7 (seven) purebred chickens and 10 (ten) free-range chickens infected by Leucocytozoon sp. with a percentage of 23,33% for purebred chickens and 33,33% for free-range chickens.
