Self disclosure merupakan bagian penting dalam keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal yang memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk membangun hubungan dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran komunikasi interpersonal dan self disclosure mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala serta mengetahui hubungan self disclosure dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif-korelasi. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 16.956, dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 391 mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dalam bentuk skala self disclosure dan komunikasi interpersonal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data deskriptif kategorisasi ditemukan; hampir separuhnya mahasiswa yaitu 152 orang atau sebesar 39% memiliki self disclosure yang berada pada kategori rendah. Kemudian sebagian besar mahasiswa yaitu 205 orang atau sebesar 52% memiliki komunikasi interpersonal yang berada pada kategori sedang. Selanjutnya dari hasil analisis korelasi memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000. Nilai Sig 0,000
Self disclosure is an important part of interpersonal communication skills that enable students to build relationships and interact with other people effectively. This research aims to describe the picture of interpersonal communication and self disclosure students at Syiah Kuala University and know the relationship self disclosure with interpersonal communication among Syiah Kuala University students. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational research type. The population of this study was 16,956, with the research sample consisting of 391 Syiah Kuala University students using the sampling technique, namely cluster sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire in the form of a scale self disclosure and interpersonal communication. Based on the results of descriptive data analysis, categorization was found; almost half of the students, namely 152 people or 39% have self disclosure which is in the low category. Then the majority of students, namely 205 people or 52%, had interpersonal communication in the medium category. Furthermore, the results of the correlation analysis obtained a significance value of 0.000. A Sig value of 0.000
