Keberhasilan bimbingan klinik Profesi Ners dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman terhadap peran dan fungsi sebagai pembimbing klinik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan pembimbing klinik Pendidikan Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini semua mahasiswa aktif Pendidikan Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Syiah Kuala tahun ajaran 2023/2024.Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan total sampling sebanyak 121 responden.
Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan analisa data dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan pembimbing klinik Pendidikan Profesi Ners 56,2% kategori cukup, berkomunikasi dengan baik dan benar 78,5% (baik), model peran profesional oleh pembimbing klinik 81,8% (baik), berkeinginan memberikan waktu yang cukup untuk peserta didik 63,6% (cukup), dan terdapat 21,5% (kurang), pendengar yang baik
dan mampu menyelesaikan masalah 69,4% (baik), tanggap terhadap kebutuhan dan rendahnya pengalaman peserta didik 68,6% (baik), mengenali dan terbiasa dengan teori dan praktik terkini 67,8% (baik), dan kompeten dan percaya diri dalam peran sebagai pembimbing klinik 63,6% (baik). Disarankan bagi Pendidikan Profesi Ners membuat aplikasi evaluasi kemampuan pembimbing klinik, tidak hanya yang di institusi pendidikan, namun juga yang di tempat praktik, diisi mahasiswa setiap selesai stase secara berkelanjutan, dan membuat pelatihan bagi pembimbing klinik baru tentang tugas, peran dan kompetensi sebagai pembimbing klinik.

The success of clinical guidance in the nursing profession is influenced by understanding the role and function of clinical instructors. This study aimed to determine students' perceptions on clinical instructor competency in the Nursing Profession Study Program at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Syiah Kuala. This quantitative study was conducted by means of a cross-sectional design. The population comprised all active students in the Nursing Professional Study Program at the Faculty of Nursing, Syiah Kuala University in the 2023/2024 academic year. A total sampling technique was used, resulting in 121 respondents. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, and data analysis employed descriptive statistics. The results showed that 56.2% of students perceived the competency of the clinical instructors in the Nursing Profession Study Program as 'sufficient‘. Furthermore, 78.5% of students rated the clinical instructors' communicative competence as good, and 81.8% considered them professional role models. Moreover, 63.6% of the respondents found that the instructors were willing to allocate adequate time, though 21.5% rated this aspect poorly. Additionally, 69.4% perceived the instructors as good listeners and problem solvers, 68.6% felt they were responsive to students' needs and experiences, 67.8% acknowledged their familiarity with current theory and practice, and 63.6% viewed them as competent and confident in their roles. It is recommended that the Nursing Profession Study Program develop an application to evaluate the clinical instructor competency. This evaluation should be completed by students after each stage of their education, both in educational institutions and practice settings, on an ongoing basis. Additionally, training should be provided for new clinical instructors to enhance their understanding of their duties, roles, and competencies.
