Kepolisian Sektor (POLSEK) Kecamatan Bakongan sebagai salah satu unsur utama sistem peradilan yang berada di wilayah Kecamatan Bakongan yang mempunyai peranan pokok dalam mencegah dan menanggulangi kejahatan yang harus dilaksanakan dengan baik dan tepat sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 2 tahun 2002 yaitu memelihara keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat, menegakkan hukum dan memberikan perlindungan, pengayoman, pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Rumusan masalah (1) Bagaimana pelaksanaan peran kepolisian sektor dalam penanggulangan kriminalitas di Kecamatan Bakongan. (2) Apa faktor penghambat kepolisian sektor melaksanakan perannya dalam penanggulangan kriminalitas di kecamatan Bakongan. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan peran kepolisian sektor dalam penanggulangan kriminalitas di Kecamatan Bakongan. (2) Untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat kepolisian sektor melaksanakan perannya dalam penanggulangan kriminalitas di Kecamatan Bakongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 orang, yaitu 1 polisi satreskrim dan 1 polisi bhabinkamtibmas, tokoh masyarakat berjumlah 1 orang camat, Korban dan pelapor 2 orang. Hasil penelitian (1) pelaksanaan peran kepolisian sektor dalam penanggulangan kriminalitas di Kecamatan Bakongan sudah dijalankan dengan baik akan tetapi ada beberapa hal yang harus diperbaiki seperti respon cepat terhadap laporan kriminalitas serta diadakannya sosialisasi tentang pencegahan kriminalitas. (2) faktor penghambat kepolisian sektor melaksanakan perannya dalam penanggulangan kriminalitas di Kecamatan Bakongan yaitu Faktor Penegak Hukum, Fungsi hukum mentalitas atau kepribadian petugas penegak hukum memiliki peranan penting, kalau peraturan sudah baik, tetapi kualitas petugas kurang baik, maka akan terjadi permasalahan yang serius dan Faktor masyarakat, Sikap masyarakat yang kurang menyadari tugas polisi, tidak mendukung serta menganggap tugas penegak hukum semata- semata urusan polisi.

The Role of the Police Sector (POLSEK) in Overcoming Criminality in Bakongan District, South Aceh Regency The Bakongan District Police Sector (POLSEK) as one of the main elements of the justice system in the Bakongan District area which has a main role in preventing and overcoming crime which must be carried out properly and appropriately in accordance with Law Number 2 of 2002, namely maintaining security and public order, enforcing the law and providing protection, protection, service to the community. Problem formulation (1) How is the implementation of the role of the police sector in overcoming crime in Bakongan District. (2) What are the factors inhibiting the sector police from carrying out its role in crime prevention in Bakongan sub-district. This research aims (1) To find out the implementation of the role of the police sector in tackling crime in Bakongan District. (2) To find out the factors inhibiting the sector police from carrying out its role in crime prevention in Bakongan District. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection uses the interview method. The informants of this research consisted of 5 people, namely 1 satreskrim police and 1 bhabinkamtibmas police, 1 community leader, 2 victims and reporters. The results of the study (1) the implementation of the role of the sector police in crime prevention in Bakongan District has been carried out well but there are several things that must be improved such as a quick response to crime reports and the holding of socialisation about crime prevention. (2) factors inhibiting the sector police from carrying out its role in crime prevention in Bakongan District, namely Law Enforcement Factors, The legal function of the mentality or personality of law enforcement officers has an important role, if the regulations are good, but the quality of officers is not good, there will be serious problems and Community Factors, The attitude of the people who are less aware of the duties of the police, do not support and consider the duties of law enforcement solely the business of the police.
