Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai Pemanfaatan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dalam Analisis Kerentanan Pesisir : Ditinjau dari Pendekatan Sosial Ekonomi di Wilayah Timur Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi kondisi dan mengamati parameter utama kerentanan sosial ekonomi masyarakat pesisir Wilayah Timur Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di pesisir Wilayah Timur Kabupaten Aceh Jaya pada bulan Oktober 2023-Februari 2024 dan pengolahan data dilakukan di Laboratorium Sistem Informasi Geografis, Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian berupa deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tools analisis menggunakan SIG. Metode ini juga digunakan Socioeconomic Vurnerability Index (SeVI) dengan menggunakan empat parameter sosial ekonomi yaitu parameter pendapatan, investasi, pendidikan dan kesehatan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari metode SeVI menunjukkan bahwa pesisir wilayah timur Kabupaten Aceh Jaya di bagi menjadi 5 kategori yaitu sangat rendah, rendah, sedang, tinggi, sangat tinggi dengan empat klasifikasi sosial ekonomi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan wilayah maju adalah yang secara sosial ekonomi tergolong kerentanan rendah yang terdapat pada 7 gampong yang berada di Kecamatan Teunom dan Krueng Sabee. Kerentanan sedang terdapat pada 20 gampong yang berada di 4 kecamatan diantaranya Kecamatan Panga, Teunom, Krueng Sabee dan Setia Bakti. Kerentanan tinggi terdapat pada 1 gampong yang berada di Kecamatan Setia Bakti, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa wilayah tersebut tidak dianggap sangat rentan, tetapi juga tidak sepenuhnya bebas dari potensi risiko dari aspek sosial ekonomi.

Research has been conducted on the Utilization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Coastal Vulnerability Analysis: A Socio-Economic Approach in the Eastern Region of Aceh Jaya Regency. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying conditions and observing the main parameters of socio-economic vulnerability of coastal communities in the Eastern Region of Aceh Jaya Regency. This research was conducted in the coastal area of the Eastern Region of Aceh Jaya Regency in October 2023-February 2024 and data processing was carried out at the Geographic Information Systems Laboratory, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University. The approach taken in the research is descriptive quantitative with analysis tools using GIS. This method also uses Socioeconomic Vurnerability Index (SeVI) by using four socioeconomic parameters, namely income, investment, education and health parameters. The results obtained from the SeVI method show that the eastern coastal area of Aceh Jaya Regency is divided into 5 categories, namely very low, low, medium, high, very high with four socioeconomic classifications. The results of this study show that developed areas are socio-economically low vulnerability found in 7 gampong located in Teunom and Krueng Sabee sub-districts. Medium vulnerability is found in 20 gampong located in 4 sub-districts including Panga, Teunom, Krueng Sabee and Setia Bakti sub-districts. High vulnerability is found in 1 gampong located in Setia Bakti Sub-district, so it can be said that the area is not considered very vulnerable, but also not completely free from potential risks from the socio-economic aspect.
