Kain tenun merupakan seni budaya tradisional Indonesia yang memiliki nilai sejarah, dan teknik yang tinggi dari segi warna, motif dan jenis bahan serta benang yang digunakan. Pemakaian tenun terbatas biasanya hanya untuk kesempatan tertentu dikarenakan jenis kain tenun memiliki tekstur yang kaku dan susah untuk perawatannya sehingga perlu memilih jenis tenun nusantara yang perawatannya lebih mudah dan sesuai diterapkan pada busana ready to wear. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesain busana ready to wear dengan penerapan variasi kain tenun nusantara yang sesuai, membuat produk busana ready to wear dengan penerapan kain tenun nusantara, mengetahui tangggapan informan terhadap penerapan kain tenun nusantara pada produk busana ready to wear. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen terapan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini merupakan dua orang designer, satu orang akademisi, serta dua orang remaja usia 18-
24 tahun berdomisisli di Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian telah mendesain produk busana casual yang diterapkan kain tenun nusantara serta mengkontruksikannya dalam outer dan jacket dengan menggunakan teknik jahit sambung. Eksperimen model pertama yaitu outer menggunakan bahan tenun kasaran bewarna navy dengan perpaduan bahan kain toyobo berwarna navy, serta penambahan belt pada outer terlihat lebih elegant, tanggapan informan menunjukan ketertarikan dengan produk outer dengan memilih bahan tenun warna yang dingin dan model sangat sesuai untuk remaja, namun dinilai dari model outernya sudah baik dan menarik. Eksperimen kedua model jacket menggunakan kain tenun dengan teknik menyambung, penempatan kain tenun sangat unik dan menarik dengan perpaduan kain interkuler, tanggapan informan bahwa keseluruhan dari model jacket ini sangat sesuai dan terlihat lebih keren, dengan penerapan kain tenun ikat bulu ini sangat terlihat kreatif. Informan menyukai kedua model busana casual tersebut dengan penambahan bahan lain seperti kerah pasir dan furing membuat tekstur kain tenun lebih rapi, kain tenun nusantara harus dikembangkan dengan membuat desain produk busana lebih kreatif.

Aplication of Archipelago Woven Fabrics in Ready-to- Wear Fashion Products Woven fabric is a traditional Indonesian cultural art that has historical value, and high technique in terms of color, motif and type of material and yarn used. The use of weaving is limited usually only for certain occasions because the type of woven fabric has a stiff texture and is difficult to maintain so it is necessary to choose the type of archipelago weaving that is easier to maintain and suitable to be applied to ready to wear clothing. This research aims to design ready to wear fashion with the application of appropriate variations of the archipelago woven fabric, make ready to wear fashion products with the application of the archipelago woven fabric, find out the informants' responses to the application of the archipelago woven fabric in ready to wear fashion products. This research used an applied experimental research method with a qualitative approach. The informants in this research are two designers, one academic, and two teenagers aged 18-24 years old domiciled in Banda Aceh. The results of the research have designed a casual fashion product that is applied to the woven fabric of the archipelago and constructs it in an outer and jacket using a continuous sewing technique. In the first model experiment, namely the outer using navy-colored casharan woven fabric with a combination of navy-colored toyobo fabric, and the addition of a belt on the outer looks more elegant, the informant's response showed interest in the outer product by choosing a cool color woven material and a model very suitable for teenagers, but judging from the outer model it was good and attractive. The second experiment of the jacket model uses woven fabric with a connecting technique, the placement of woven fabric is very unique and interesting with a combination of intercular fabrics, the informant's response that the overall jacket model is very appropriate and looks cooler, with the application of woven fabric feather motifs this is very creative. In both fashion product models, informants liked the two casual fashion models with the addition of other materials such as sand collars and furing to make the texture of woven fabrics neater, the woven fabric of the archipelago must be developed by making fashion product designs more creative.
