Kenakalan pada remaja sering dikaitkan dengan bagaimana keterlibatan
pengasuhan orangtua khususnya ayah pada remaja. Salah satu dampak kurangnya
keterlibatan ayah pada remaja yaitu penyimpangan perilaku, harga diri rendah dan
permasalahan psikososial lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
hubungan antara father involvement dengan self-esteem pada remaja SMA di Kota
Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelatif dengan
pendekatan cross sectional study dengan teknik sampel yaitu purposive sampling.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan di salah satu SMA di kota Banda Aceh, dengan
besar sampel penelitian 289 responden. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu
kuesioner Reported Father Involvement Scale (RFIS) dan kuesioner Rosenberg
Self-esteem Scale (RSES). Data analisis menggunakan uji Chie-Square
menunjukan hubungan yang signifikan antara father involvement dengan selfesteem (p-value,000). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan
antara father involvement dengan self-esteem pada remaja di Kota Banda Aceh.
Diharapkan kepada guru bimbingan konseling (bk), wali kelas, dan puskesmas di
Kota Banda Aceh untuk memberikan edukasi keluarga terkait pentingnya
keterlibatan ayah pada perkembangan psikologgis anak khususnya ditahap remaja.

Juvenile delinquency is often associated with parenting involvement, especially with fathers in a juvenile's life. One of the impacts of father involvement's lack among teenagers is behavioral deviation, low self-esteem, and other psychosocial problems. This research aimed to determine the correlation between father involvement and self-esteem among high school teenagers in Banda Aceh Municipality. This research used a correlative descriptive design with a crosssectional study approach with a sampling technique, specifically purposive sampling. Data was collected at one of the high schools in Banda Aceh, with 289 total respondents. The instruments used were the Reported Father Involvement Scale (RFIS) and the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the Chie-Square test, which shows a significant relationship between father involvement and self-esteem (p-value, 000). The research results show a correlation between father involvement and self-esteem among teenagers in Banda Aceh Municipality. It is expected that the counseling guidance teachers, the homeroom teachers, and the community health centers in Banda Aceh will provide family education regarding the importance of father involvement in the children's psychological development, especially in the teenage stage.
