ABSTRACT Title : The Impact of Clean Fuels Use on Children's Health in ASEAN Countries Author : M. Thoha Hamzah NIM : 1801101010114 Faculty/Department : Economics and Business/Development Economics Supervisor : Riswandi, S.E., M.Ec This study investigates the impact of the use of clean fuels on the health of children in ASEAN countries. The study utilizes panel data from 10 ASEAN nations spanning the period from 2000 to 2020 and employs a fixed-effects model in the analysis. The study's results indicate significant relationships between the use of clean energy and GDP per capita with various indicators of children's health. A one percent increase in the clean energy use is associated with approximately a 0.056 percent decrease in the prevalence of stunting, 0.23 percent decrease in infant mortality, and 0.14 percent decrease in neonatal mortality. Moreover, a one percent increase in GDP per capita is linked to a significant decrease in stunting by 0.35 percent, infant mortality by 0.26 percent, and neonatal mortality by 0.32 percent. These findings offer valuable insights for governments, non-governmental organizations, and civil society, highlighting the positive impact of clean energy transition policies on children's health. Keywords: Clean Energy, GDP Per Capita, Stunting, Infant Mortality, Neonatal Mortality, Children’s Health, ASEAN Countries.
