Diafisis adalah nama anatomi untuk batang tulang panjang, yang dibedakan dari epifisis, ujung tulang. Tatalaksana dari trauma ortopedi dapat menggunakan teknik bedah dan non-bedah untuk memperbaiki tulang dan jaringan lunak yang terkena.World Health Organization (WHO) mencatat di tahun 2017 terdapat lebih dari 5,6 juta orang meninggal dikarenakan insiden kecelakaan dan sekitar 1,3 juta orang mengalami kecacatan fisik. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan ekperimental dengan desain penelitian yang dipilih adalah Post-test Only Control Group Design. Hasil uji eksperimental ini ditentukan berdasarkan atas perbedaan efek yang terjadi pada kelompok perlakuan dengan pada kelompok kontrol. Hasil uji secara crosstab menunjukkan kelompok subjek dengan intervensi petroleum jelly mendapatkan hasil dermatitis kontak lebih rendah (20%) dibandingkan tanpa intervensi (60%), Sebaliknya subjek dengan intervensi lebih tinggi persentase negatif dermatitis kontak iritannya ( 80%) dibandingkan tanpa Petroleum Jelly (40%), hasil uji signifikansi berdasarkan chi square diperoleh p value 0,010 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 yang menunjukkan perbedaan proporsi signifikan sehingga hubungan antar variabel bisa dinyatakan signifikan.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat diambil kesimpulan Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pemberian petroleum jelly pada kulit sekitar luka operasi dengan kesehatan kulit sekitar luka operasi pasien pasca operasi tulang panjang di RSUDZA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi data awal untuk penelitian selanjutnya, dengan jumlah subjek penelitian yang lebih multi center.

The diaphysis is the anatomical term for the shaft of a long bone, distinguished from the epiphysis, which is the end of the bone. The management of orthopedic trauma can involve surgical and non-surgical techniques to repair the affected bones and soft tissues. In 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) recorded that over 5.6 million people died due to accident-related incidents, and approximately 1.3 million people suffered physical disabilities. This research employed an experimental design, specifically the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The results of this experimental test were determined based on the differences in effects observed between the treatment group and the control group. Cross-tabulation results showed that the group of subjects with petroleum jelly intervention had a lower incidence of contact dermatitis (20%) compared to the group without intervention (60%). Conversely, subjects with intervention had a higher percentage of negative contact dermatitis irritancy (80%) compared to those without Petroleum Jelly (40%). The significance test based on chi-square yielded a p-value of 0.010, which is smaller than 0.05, indicating a significant proportion difference, thus establishing a significant relationship between the variables. Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of applying petroleum jelly to the skin around the surgical wound on the skin health of patients undergoing long bone surgery at RSUDZA. These results are expected to serve as initial data for future research, with a more extensive, multi-center subject pool.
