Bawang merah salah satu komoditas unggulan di beberapa daerah di Indonesia yang digunakan sebagai bumbu masakan dan memiliki kandungan beberapa zat yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Bawang merah mengandung kalsium, fosfor, zat besi, karbohidrat, vitamin seperti A dan C. Komponen lain yang terkandung dal-am umbi bawang merah adalah minyak atsiri. Minyak atsiri inilah yang banyak dimanfaatkan untuk penyedap rasa makanan, bakterisida, fungisida dan berkhasiat untuk obat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk NPK dan pupuk kompos serta interaksi antara kedua faktor terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di Sektor Timur, Kebun Percobaan dan Lab Benih Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh dari Oktober 2022 sampai Maret 2023. Alat-alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cangkul, parang, garpu, meteran, jangka sorong, tali rafia, timbangan, dan alat- alat yang mendukung dalam penelitian Bahan yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini adalah bibit bawang merah varietas bima brebes sebanyak 2,7 kg.
Pupuk yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah pupuk kompos sebanyak 65 kg. Adapun pupuk lain yang digunakan yaitu pupuk NPK 16-16-16 sebanyak 108 g. Fungisida Dithane M-45 1 bungkus, Curater 3G 1 bungkus. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4x3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor yang diteliti adalah dosis pupuk NPK yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu kontrol, 200 kg ha-1 , 250kg ha-1 , dan 300 kg ha-1 . Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk Kompos yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 10 ton ha-1 , 15 ton ha-1 , 20 ton ha-1 .
Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah umbi per rumpun, diameter umbi, bobot umbi per rumpun, bobot beragkasan per rumpun, bobot kering angin umbi per rumpun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 45 HST, namun berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter lainnya. Dosis pupuk kompos berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 30 dan 45 HST, jumlah umbi perumpun, bobot umbi basah perumpun, bobot berangkas kering per rumpun namun berpengaruh tidak nyata pada parameter lainnya. Terdapat interaksi sangat nyata antara pupuk NPK dan dosis pupuk kompos terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 15, 30, dan 45 HST, bobot umbi basah per rumpun, bobot berangkas kering per rumpun, dan bobot kering angin umbi per rumpun, nyata pada diameter umbi, namun tidak nyata pada jumlah umbi per rumpun.

Shallots are one of the leading commodities in several regions in Indonesia which are used as a cooking spice and contain several substances that are beneficial for health. Shallots contain calcium, phosphorus, iron, carbohydrates, vitamins such as A and C. Another component contained in shallot bulbs is essential oil. This essential oil is widely used for food flavoring, bactericide, fungicide and medicinal properties. This research aims to determine the effect of doses of NPK fertilizer and compost fertilizer and the interaction between the two factors on the growth and yield of shallot plants. This research will be carried out in the East Sector, Experimental Garden and Seed Lab, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from October 2022 to March 2023. The tools used in this research are hoes, machetes, forks, tape measures, calipers, raffia rope. , scales, and tools that support the research. The materials used in this research were 2.7 kg of Bima Brebes red onion seeds. The fertilizer used for this research was 65 kg of compost. The other fertilizer used was 108 g of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer. Fungicide Dithane M-45 1 pack, Curater 3G 1 pack. This research used a randomized block design, a 4x3 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The factor studied was the dose of NPK fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels, namely control, 200 kg ha-1, 250 kg ha-1, and 300 kg ha-1. The second factor is the dose of compost fertilizer which consists of 3 levels, namely 10 tons ha-1, 15 tons ha-1, 20 tons ha-1. The parameters observed were plant height, number of tubers per cluster, tuber diameter, tuber weight per cluster, bulk weight per cluster, wind dry weight of tubers per cluster. The research results showed that the dose of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height at 45 DAP, but had no significant effect on other parameters. The dose of compost had a very significant effect on plant height at 30 and 45 DAP, number of tubers in the cluster, wet tuber weight in the cluster, dry stem weight per cluster but had no significant effect on other parameters. There was a very real interaction between NPK fertilizer and compost fertilizer dosage on plant height at 15, 30, and 45 DAP, wet tuber weight per hill, dry stem weight per hill, and dry weight of tubers per hill, significant for tuber diameter, however not significant in the number of tubers per hill.
