ABSTRAK
Batuk kronik berulang (BKB) adalah batuk yang berlangsung lebih dari atau
sama dengan 2 minggu dan/atau berlangsung 3 episode dalam 3 bulan berturut-turut.
Prevalensi BKB dari seluruh pasien dengan keluhan batuk adalah 87,6%. Kondisi rumah
dan lingkungan yang tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan merupakan faktor yang mendasari
timbulnya penularan berbagai penyakit, khususnya penyakit berbasis lingkungan. Tujuan
penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan lingkungan fisik rumah dengan kejadian
batuk kronik berulang pada balita. Jenis penelitian adalah analitik observasional dengan
menggunakan desain case control. Penelitian dilakukan di Poli Anak RSUDZA Banda
Aceh dari 1 Oktober hingga 30 November 2014. Responden penelitian ini adalah 60
responden yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan ventilasi
yang tidak memenuhi syarat pada balita BKB 73,33%, konstruksi dinding rumah yang
tidak baik pada balita BKB 23,33%, jenis lantai tidak baik pada balita BKB 40%, dan
pencahayaan tidak baik pada balita BKB 3,33%. Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi-Square
menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara ventilasi (p= 0,000) dan jenis lantai (p= 0,020)
dengan BKB pada balita. Berdasarkan hasil uji Fisher’s Exact menunjukkan adanya
hubungan konstruksi dinding rumah (p= 0,011) dengan kejadian BKB, sedangkan
pencahayaan tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian BKB pada balita (p= 1,000).
Kesimpulan ventilasi, konstruksi dinding rumah, dan jenis lantai berhubungan dengan
BKB pada balita, sedangkan pencahayaan tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian
BKB pada balita.

ABSTRACT
Recurrent chronic cough is a cough that lasts more than or equal to 2 weeks and/or
lasted 3 episodes in 3 consecutive months. BKB prevalence of all patients with symptoms
of cough was 87.6 %. Housing conditions and environments that do not meet health
requirements are factors that underlie the emergence of transmission of various diseases,
especially diseases based environment. The purpose of this research was conducted to
determine the relationship of house environment condition with recurrent chronic cough
incidence in infants. This method in this research is using case control analytical
observational design. This research is conducted at Department of Pediatric RSUDZA
Banda Aceh from 1

of this research is the ventilation not good enough of BKB toodlers is 73,33%,
constructions of house not good enough of BKB toodlers is 23,33%, floor type not good
