Kanker serviks menempati posisi keempat dalam urutan kanker terbanyak pada wanita di dunia dan memiliki tingkat kematian yang cukup tinggi. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi angka kejadian kanker serviks adalah dengan deteksi dini menggunakan metode Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat (IVA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik wanita usia subur yang melakukan deteksi dini kanker serviks dengan metode IVA di Puskesmas Batoh pada tahun 2020 - 2022. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode observasi cross sectional retrospective. Adapun populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh wanita usia subur yang melakukan deteksi dini kanker serviks dengan metode IVA di Puskesmas Batoh pada tahun 2020 - 2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi ada sebanyak 120 sampel yang berupa data rekam medik. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok wanita terbanyak adalah yang berusia ≥ 35 tahun (65,8%), multipara (65,0%), usia pertama kawin ≥ 20 tahun (86,7%), tidak menggunakan alat kontrasepsi (65,8%), jumlah pernikahan 1 kali (92,5%), tidak merokok (51,7%), tidak memiliki riwayat kanker keluarga (85,0%), dan hasil pemeriksaan IVA negatif (96,7%).

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women in the world and has a high mortality rate. One way to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer is by early detection using the Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) method. This study aims to determine the characteristics of women of childbearing age who perform early detection of cervical cancer using the VIA method at the Batoh Community Health Center in 2020 - 2022. This type of research is a descriptive study with a retrospective cross-sectional observation method. The population of this study is all women of childbearing age who performed early detection of cervical cancer by VIA method at Batoh Community Health Center in 2020 - 2022. The sampling technique used the total sampling method with a total of 120 samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the form of medical record data. The data was then analyzed using frequency distribution tables. The results showed that the largest group of women were aged ≥ 35 years (65.8%), multipara (65.0%), age at first marriage ≥ 20 years (86.7%), did not use contraceptives (65.8%), number of marriages was once (92.5%), did not smoke (51.7%), did not have a family history of cancer (85.0%), and negative VIA examination results (96.7%).
