ABSTRAK

Operator SPBU memiliki resiko tinggi terhadap paparan zat berbahaya yang
berasal dari emisi buangan kendaraan bermotor seperti Particulate Matter (PM)
dan gas karbon monoksida (CO) dan juga beresiko terpapar Volatile Organic
Compounds (VOC) seperti benzene yang terkandung dalam uap bensin saat proses
pengisian bahan bakar ke dalam tangki kendaraan bermotor. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar PM, Total VOC (TVOC) dan Hubungan CO
ekspirasi terhadap fungsi paru operator SPBU di kota Banda Aceh. Metode
penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan desain potong
lintang (cross sectional). Sebanyak 114 operator SPBU dari 12 SPBU di kota
Banda Aceh dilakukan pemeriksaan fungsi paru dengan spirometri dan
pemeriksaan kadar karbon monoksida ekspirasi menggunakan Smokelizer,
kemudian dalam pengukuran kadar PM dan TVOC dilakukan dengan
menggunakan Air Quality Monitor langsung di area pompa bensin. Hasil uji
Pearson Chi-Square menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara kadar CO
ekspirasi dengan penurunan fungsi paru (P= 0,118). Kadar TVOC menunjukan
level tidak aman pada semua SPBU yang diteliti yaitu >0.601mg/m
dengan rerata
kadar TVOC 7,53mg/m
3
. Sebagian besar subjek penelitian memiliki kadar CO
ekspirasi diatas normal (53,6%). Rata-rata kadar PM2,5 masih dibawah Nilai
Ambang Batas, namun sudah masuk kategori sedang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini
yaitu kadar CO ekspirasi tidak berhubungan secara signifikan dengan penurunan
fungsi paru operator SPBU di kota Banda Aceh.

ABSTRACT Gas station operators have a high risk of exposure to hazardous substances from motorized vehicle emissions such as Particulate Matter (PM) and carbon monoxide (CO) and are also at risk of exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) such as benzene which is contained in gasoline vapor during the fuel filling process. fuel into the tank of a motor vehicle. This study aims to determine the levels of PM, Total VOC (TVOC) and the relationship of Carbon Monoxide Exhalation with the Lung Function of gas station operators in Banda Aceh. The research method used was analytic observational with a cross-sectional design. A total of 114 gas station operators from 12 gas stations in Banda Aceh were examined for lung function by spirometry and examination of Carbon Monoxide Exhalation levels using a Smokelizer, then measuring PM and TVOC levels was carried out using an Air Quality Monitor directly in the gas station area. The results of the Pearson Chi-Square test showed that there was no relationship between Carbon Monoxide Exhalation levels with decreased lung function (P = 0.118). TVOC levels showed an unsafe level at all gas stations studied, namely >0.601 mg/m3 with an average TVOC level of 7.53 mg/m3. Most of the study subjects had expiratory CO levels above normal (53.6%). The average PM2.5 level is still below the Threshold Value, but is already in the moderate category. The conclusion of this study is that exhaled CO levels are not significantly related to decreased lung function of gas station operators in Banda Aceh.
