Penelitian yang berjudul “ Penerapan Model Project Based Learning dalam Pembelajaran Seni Musik (Vokal) Pada Siswa Kelas VII SMPN 5 Meulaboh “. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan seni musik dan kemampuan bernyanyi siswa kelas VII SMPN 5 Meulaboh. Penelitian dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dilakukan berdasarkan tahapan atau langkah-langkah model pembelajaran Project Based Learning antara lain, (1) Dimulai dengan Pertanyaan Mendasar, (2) Membuat Perencanaan Projek, (3) Menyusun Jadwal, (4) Memonitor Kegiatan dan Perkembangan Projek Siswa, (5) Menguji Hasil, dan (6) Mengevaluasi. Batasan project siswa disini yaitu siswa diminta untuk bernyanyi secara unisono dengan bantuan kreativitas dari siswa berupa koreografer yang menghasilkan ketukan dan juga variasi tepukan untuk menghasilkan bunyi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak tiga puluh sembilan orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi dan tes. Data yang diperoleh sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) menggunakan analisis data statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS dan analisis data statistik iferensial, yaitu uji hipotesis yang dilakukan melalui syarat uji homogenitas dan normalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran seni musik (vokal), hal tersebut diperoleh dari hasil observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil uji soal pretest serta posttest dan juga diperoleh berdasarkan nilai statistik uji wilcoxon. Diketahui, Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) kelas eksperimen 0,000 dan nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) kelas kontrol 0,522. Karena nilai kelas kontrol 0,522 lebih besar dari 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada kelas kontrol hipotesis ditolak. Sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen nilai 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima. Artinya, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada materi seni musik (vokal) untuk pretest dan posttest, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan hasil kemampuan belajar siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning di SMPN 5 Meulaboh.

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning model on increasing knowledge of the art of music and singing ability of class VII students at SMPN 5 Meulaboh. Research using the Project Based Learning learning model is carried out based on the stages or steps of the Project Based Learning learning model, including, (1) Starting with Basic Questions, (2) Making a Project Plan, (3) Developing a Schedule, (4) Monitoring Activities and Student Project Development, (5) Testing Results, and (6) Evaluating. The limitations of the student project here are that students are asked to sing in unison with the help of creativity from students in the form of a choreographer who produces beats and also variations of claps to produce sound. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental type of research. The sample used in this research was thirty-nine students. The data collection techniques used are observation and test techniques. The data obtained before and after the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model used descriptive statistical data analysis with the help of the SPSS application and differential statistical data analysis, namely hypothesis testing carried out through homogeneity and normality test conditions. The research results show that the application of the Project Based Learning learning model can improve students' learning abilities in learning music (vocal) arts. This was obtained from the results of observing student learning activities, the results of pretest and posttest questions and was also obtained based on the statistical value of the Wilcoxon test. It is known, Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) experimental class 0.000 and Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) control class 0.522. Because the control class value of 0.522 is greater than 0.05, it can be concluded that in the control class the hypothesis is rejected. Meanwhile, in the experimental class, the value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. This means that there are differences in student learning outcomes in music (vocal) art material for the pretest and posttest, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning ability results with the implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model at SMPN 5 Meulaboh.
