Karakter seorang pemimpin dapat dilihat oleh masyarakat dari cara mereka berkomunikasi. karena peran karakter merupakan salah satu pegangan pokok bagaimana seseorang memiliki pedoman hidup yang nantinya dapat mempengaruhi masyarakat secara baik maupun sebaliknya. Apalagi menjadi seorang memimpin, sudah seharusnya memiliki karakter yang kuat dan baik agar dapat memimpin masyarakatnya secara adil, makmur dan sejahtera. Komunikasi Politik merupakan salah satu elemen yang harus dikuasai dengan baik oleh seorang pemimpin. Roni Ahmad (Abusyik) merupakan salah satu pemimpin yang menggunakan komunikasi politik dengan baik. Gaya dan bahasa Roni Ahmad mampu mendorong masyarakat untuk memilihnya menjadi pemimpin Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara data apakah Karakter komunikasi dari seorang Roni Ahmad (Abusyik) mampu menarik minat masyarakat untuk memilih beliau sebagai pemimpin Kabupaten Pidie. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket dan observasi. Serta pengolahan data menggunakan metode pengeditan data, transformasi data serta tabulasi data. Serta uji yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, skala likert, uji linear berganda, dan uji korelasi berganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Komunikasi Politik oleh Cangara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan dari beberapa variabel dalam karakter komunikasi yaitu gaya dan bahasa yang diisi oleh responden dengan beberapa distribusi seperti jenis kelamin, usia dan pendidikan terakhir responden, bahwa berdasarkan Karakter Komunikasi politik yang digunakan oleh Roni Ahmad (Abusyik) mampu mempengaruhi dan menarik minat masyarakat untuk memilih beliau menjadi Bupati di Kabupaten Pidie pada tahun 2017

The character of a leader can be seen by the public from the way they communicate. because the role of character is one of the main guidelines for how someone has a way of life that can later influence society both for good and vice versa. Moreover, being a leader, one should have a strong and good character in order to be able to lead the community in a just, prosperous and prosperous manner. Political Communication is one of the elements that must be mastered well by a leader. Roni Ahmad (Abusyik) is one of the leaders who uses political communication well. Roni Ahmad's style and language were able to encourage the community to elect him to be the leader of the Pidie Regency. This study aims to find out in data whether the communication character of Roni Ahmad (Abusyik) is able to attract the people interest to electing him as the leader of Pidie Regency. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative with data collection methods through questionnaires and observation. As well as data processing using data editing methods, data transformation and data tabulation. As well as the tests carried out in this study using validity, reliability, Likert scale tests, multiple linear tests, and multiple correlation tests. This study uses the theory of Political Communication by Cangara. The results of this study show that from several variables in the character of communication, namely style and language filled by respondents with several distributions such as age, the education of responden and gander, that based on the Character of Political Communication used by Roni Ahmad (Abusyik) is able to influence and attract interest the community to elect him to become the Regent of Pidie Regency in 2017
