Beberapa jenis ikan yang dikategorikan hampir terancam (Near threatened) dan rentan (Vulnerable) jenis hiu dan pari masis tertangkap dan diperjual belikan di PPI Ujong Baroh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis ikan yang didaratkan di PPI Ujong Baroh, mengeksplorasi status konservasi jenis ikan, dan mendeskripsikan nilai ekonomis ikan yang didaratkan di PPI Ujong Baroh Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April-Mei 2023 di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Ujong Baroh, Desa Ujong Baroh, Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif yang bersifat survey dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perciformes dan Carangiformes merupakan ordo dan family yang paling banyak ditemukan di PPI Ujong Baroh. Status konservasi jenis ikan dilihat dari daftar merah IUCN 68% Least concern, 12% Data deficient, 8% Near threatened, 8% Not evaluated, 2% Endangered dan Critically endangered. Berdasarkan CITES tercatat 2 Appendix II, dan 98% not evaluated. Berdasarkan kepmen NO.1 KEPMEN-KP/2021 Tentang Jenis Ikan Yang Dilindungi tidak terdapat spesies yang tercatat sebagai jenis ikan yang dilindungi di Indonesia. Ikan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis paling tinggi ialah dari family Serranidae dengan rata-rata Rp. 80.000/kg dan jenis ikan dengan harga jual terendah ialah dari famili Synodontidae, Trichiuridae, dan Cynoglossidae dengan harga rata-rata Rp. 10.000 – 20.000/kg. jenis ikan yang didaratkan di PPI Ujong Baroh ditangkap dengan jaring insang, pancing tonda, pancing ulur, pancing rawai, pukat cincin, dan pukat payang.

Several types of fish categorized as Near Threatened and Vulnerable, sharks and rays are still caught and traded at the Ujong Baroh PPI. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of fish landed at PPI Ujong Baroh, explore the conservation status of fish species, and describe the economic value of fish landed at PPI Ujong Baroh Aceh Barat. This research was conducted in April-May 2023 at the Ujong Baroh Fish Landing Base, Ujong Baroh Village, Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency. The research method used is descriptive method which is a survey and observation. The results showed that Perciformes and Carangiformes were the orders and families that were most commonly found in PPI Ujong Baroh. The conservation status of fish species seen from the IUCN red list is 68% Least concern, 12% Data deficient, 8% Near threatened, 8% Not evaluated, 2% Endangered and Critically endangered. Based on CITES, 2 Appendix II were recorded, and 98% were not evaluated. Based on Ministerial Decree No. 1 KEPMEN-KP/2021 Concerning Protected Fish Species there are no species recorded as protected fish species in Indonesia. Fish that have the highest economic value are from the Serranidae family with an average Rp. 80,000/kg and the types of fish with the lowest selling price are from the families Synodontidae, Trichiuridae, and Cynoglossidae with an average price of Rp. 10,000 – 20,000/kg. The types of fish landed at PPI Ujong Baroh are caught using gill nets, troll line, hand line, long line, purse seine, and seine seine.
