Pulau Nasi merupakan salah satu pulau yang terdapat di Provinsi Aceh, Pulau Nasi adalah sebuah pulau yang terletak di sebelah timur laut Pulau Sumatra dan di sebelah barat laut Pulau Weh. Terletak di tengah-tengah antara ujung barat Pulau Sumatra dengan pulau Breueh. Berdasarkan titik koordinat, pulau ini berada di koordinat 5°37′0″LU,95°7′0″BT. Secara administratif pulau ini termasuk dalam wilayah kecamatan Pulau Aceh, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Pulau Nasi memiliki lima desa, yaitu Lamteng, Deudap, Rabo, Pasi Janeng dan Alue Reuyeueng. Penelitian dilakukan di diperairan dangkal Pulau nasi Kecamatan Pulau Aceh Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April – Mei 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menganalisis sebaran terumbu karang menggunakan citra satelit Landsat 8 dengan metode NDVI serta Memetakan sebaran terumbu karang dikawasan Pulau Nasi Kecamatan Pulau Aceh. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa luasan terumbu karang hidup di Pulau Nasi pada tahun 2013 sebesar 575,72 Ha. Jumlah yang dihasilkan luasan sebaran terumbu karang menyempit jika dibandingkan dengan luasan terumbu karang hidup yang ada di Pulau Nasi pada tahun 2023 yaitu sebesar 365,4662 Ha. Titik validasi terumbu karang menggunakan Landsat 8 metode stop and go dengan sejumlah 90 titik yang terdiri atas 30 titik validasi merupakan karang mati, 30 karang hidup dan 30 lainnya merupakan pasir.

Nasi Island is one of the islands located in Aceh Province. Nasi Island is an island located in the northeast of the island of Sumatra and in the northwest of the island of Weh. Located halfway between the western tip of the island of Sumatra and the island of Breueh. Based on the coordinates, this island is located at coordinates 5°37′0″N, 95°7′0″E. Administratively, this island is included in the Aceh Island sub-district, Aceh Besar District. Nasi Island has five villages, namely Lamteng, Deudap, Rabo, Pasi Janeng, and Alue Reuyeueng. The research was conducted in the village of Deudap Pulau Nasi, Aceh Island District, and Aceh Besar District. The research was conducted in April–May 2023. This study aims to analyze the distribution of coral reefs using Landsat 8 satellite imagery with the NDVI method and map the distribution of coral reefs in the Nasi Island area of Pulau Aceh District. The results of this study indicate that the area of living coral reefs on Nasi Island in 2013 was 575.72 ha. The resulting amount of coral reef distribution has narrowed when compared to the area of living coral reefs on Nasi Island in 2023, namely 365.4662 ha. Coral reef validation points using the Landsat 8 stop and go method yield a total of 90 points, consisting of 30 validation points for dead coral, 30 for live coral, and 30 for sand.
