Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui tindak tutur asertif dan (2) mengetahui tindak tutur ekspresif dalam novel Perempuan yang Menangis Kepada Bulan Hitam karya Dian Purnomo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa novel Perempuan yang Menangis Kepada Bulan Hitam karya Dian Purnomo. Data penelitian adalah dialog antar tokoh yang mengandung tindak tutur asertif dan tindak tutur ekspresif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik telaah dokumen. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat tujuh bentuk tindak tutur asertif yang terdiri dari tindak tutur asertif menyatakan, memberitahukan, mengeluh, menuntut, menyarankan, melaporkan, dan tindak tutur asertif membanggakan. Dari tujuh bentuk tindak tutur asertif yang telah dianalisi, tindak tutur asertif menyatakan merupakan bentuk tindak tutur asertif yang paling banyak ditemukan. (2) Terdapat lima bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif yang terdiri dari tindak tutur ekspresif menyalahkan, memuji, berterima kasih, memaafkan, dan tindak tutur belasungkawa. Dari lima bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif yang telah dianalisi, tindak tutur ekspresif menyalahkan yang paling banyak ditemukan. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat bentuk tindak tutur asertif dan tindak tutur ekspresif dalam novel Perempuan yang Menangis Kepada Bulan Hitam yang digambarkan lewat dialog antar tokoh pada setiap peristiwa yang terjadi.

This research aims to (1) find out assertive speech acts and (2) find out expressive speech acts in the novel the woman who cried to the black moon by Dian Purnomo. This research is qualitative research with descriptive research type. The data source for this research is the novel the woman who cried to the black moon by Dian Purnomo. The research data is dialogue between characters which contains assertive speech acts and expressive speech acts. The data collection technique uses document techniques. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The research results show (1) there are seven forms of assertive speech acts consisting of assertive speech acts of stating, informing, complaining, demanding, suggesting, reporting, and assertive speech acts of admitting. Of the seven forms of assertive speech acts that have been analyzed, the assertive speech act of stating is the form of assertive speech act that is most often found. (2) There are five forms of expressive speech acts consisting of expressive speech acts of blaming, praising, thanking, forgiving and condolence speech acts. Of the five forms of expressive speech acts that have been analyzed, expressive speech acts of blame are the most frequently found. This research shows that there are forms of assertive speech acts and expressive speech acts in the novel the woman who cried to the black moon which are conveyed through dialogue between characters at each event that occurs.
