Upcycle merupakan teknik yang mengolah pakaian maupun produk yang tidak digunakan menjadi produk baru yang mempunyai kualitas lebih baik dan nilai yang lebih tinggi melalui desain yang baru sehingga konsep berkelanjutan dapat terwujud dan lingkungan terjaga seperti mengaplikasikan teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko pada pakaian bekas. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui penggunaan teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko pada pakaian bekas, mengaplikasikan teknik reverse applique dan Sashiko pada pakaian bekas dan mengetahui daya tarik responden terhadap upcycle baju bekas dengan teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini pengikut Instagram peneliti Perempuan dengan renta umur 18-28 tahun berjumlah 90 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dokumentasi, angket, studi kepustakaan, dan eksperimen terapan. Data yang sudah diperoleh dari hasil eksperimen dijelaskan secara deskriptif, sedangkan data dari angket dijelaskan dalam bentuk diagram lingkaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan upcycle pakaian bekas menggunakan teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko dapat menambahkan keindahan pada pakaian yang di upcycle. Peneliti membuat 3 model pada penelitian ini, dengan megaplikasikan teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko. Hasil uji tanggapan responden, menunjukkan sebagian besar responden sangat suka terhadap produk yang menggunakan gabungan kedua teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko dari kedua model pakaian yang hanya menggunakan satu teknik saja. Pengaplikasian kombinasi teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko dengan perpaduan warna dan motif pada pakaian menyebabkan ketertarikan responden lebih tinggi daripada menggunakan satu teknik saja. Diharapkan pembaca dapat melihat potensi dari upcycle pakaian bekas dengan teknik Reverse Applique dan Sashiko untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran dan dunia bisnis.

Upcycling is a technique that processes unused clothes and products into new products that have better quality and higher value through new designs so that sustainable concepts can be realized and the environment is maintained, such as applying Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques to used clothes. The aim of this research is to determine the use of Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques on used clothes, apply reverse applique and Sashiko techniques to used clothes and determine respondents' attraction to upcycling used clothes using the Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques. This study used an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 90 female researchers' Instagram followers aged 18-28 years. The data collection techniques in this research are documentation, questionnaires, literature study and applied experiments. The data that has been obtained from the experimental results is explained descriptively, while the data from the questionnaire is explained in the form of a pie chart. The research results show that upcycling used clothes using the Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques can add beauty to the upcycled clothes. Researchers made 3 models in this research, using the Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques. The results of the respondent response test showed that the majority of respondents really liked products that used a combination of both Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques compared to two clothing models that only used one technique. The application of a combination of Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques with a combination of colors and motifs on clothing caused respondents' interest to be higher than using one technique alone. It is hoped that readers can see the potential of upcycling used clothes using the Reverse Applique and Sashiko techniques to be applied in the learning process and the business world.
