Perum LPPNPI Cabang Banda Aceh merupakan salah satu perusahaan di Bandara Sultan Iskandar Muda yang bergerak di bidang pemanduan lalu lintas udara. Salah satu profesi utama di perusahaan tersebut adalah operator Air Traffic Controller (ATC) yang memberikan layanan pengaturan lalu lintas udara pada suatu penerbangan. Operator ATC dituntut harus mempunyai kecepatan dan ketepatan dalam memberikan informasi agar tidak terjadi kecelakaan pada saat penerbangan. Padatnya lalu lintas udara juga mempengaruhi tingkat ketelitian operator dalam melakukan kegiatannya. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut perlu dilakukan pengukuran beban kerja mental untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab dan tingkat beban kerja mental yang dialami operator ATC. Pengukuran beban kerja mental dikakukan menggunakan metode SWAT dan NASA-TLX dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada seluruh operator ATC. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang paling mempengaruhi beban kerja operator dengan metode SWAT yaitu faktor beban waktu dengan persentase sebesar 63,67%, sedangkan dengan menggunakan metode NASA-TLX yaitu faktor performansi dan kebutuhan mental sebesar 33% dan 25%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan operator ATC terikat oleh waktu, memiliki standar keberhasilan yang tinggi, dan harus fokus serta teliti dalam melakukan pekerjaannya. Kemudian, hasil pengukuran dengan metode SWAT menunjukkan bahwa tingkat beban kerja mental operator ATC berada pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 71, sedangkan dengan metode NASA-TLX menunjukkan bahwa tingkat beban kerja mental operator ATC berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 89. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa operator ATC mengalami beban kerja mental secara signifikan yang dibuktikan oleh nilai rata-rata beban kerja mental yang tinggi dalam kedua metode pengukuran.

One of the main professions in the company is the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) operator, who provides air traffic management services for flights. ATC operators are required to have speed and accuracy in providing information to prevent accidents during flights. The density of air traffic at any given time will also affect the operator's level of precision in performing monitoring activities. Given this situation, it is necessary to measure the mental workload to identify the factors causing it and the level of mental workload experienced by ATC operators. Mental workload measurement is carried out using the SWAT and NASA-TLX methods, with questionnaires distributed to all ATC operators. The results of this study indicate that the most influential factor on operator workload using the SWAT method is the time load factor, accounting for a percentage of 63.67%. Meanwhile, when using the NASA-TLX method the factors of performance and mental demand account for 33% and 25%, respectively. This suggests that ATC operators are bound by time constraints, have high standards of success, and must remain focused and attentive in their tasks. Furthermore, the measurement results using the SWAT method reveal that the level of mental workload for ATC operators falls within the high category, with an average score of 71. On the other hand, the NASA-TLX method indicates that the level of mental workload for ATC operators falls within the very high category, with an average score of 89. Therefore, it can be concluded that ATC operators experience a significant mental workload, as evidenced by the high average values in both measurement methods.
