GAMBARAN PENERAPAN PRINSIP TUJUH BENAR PEMBERIAN
OBAT OLEH PERAWAT KEPADA PASIEN DI RUMAH SAKIT
JIWA ACEH

ABSTRAK

Potensi insiden keselamatan pasien akibat pengelolaan pemberian obat yang tidak
efektif oleh perawat merupakan isu penting. Pravelensi medication error di
Indonesia menduduki peringkat pertama yaitu mencapai 24,8% dari 10 besar
penyebab insiden keselamatan pasien di Rumah Sakit baik umum ataupun Rumah
Sakit jiwa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Gambaran Penerapan Prinsip
Tujuh Benar Pemberian Obat oleh Perawat Kepada Pasien di Rumah Sakit Jiwa
Aceh. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif; deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional study.
Jumlah sampel sebanyak 130 responden, menggunakan total sampling, teknik
pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, analisa data menggunakan uji statistik
deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan prinsip tujuh benar pemberian
obat oleh perawat kepada pasien di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh berada pada kategori
benar berdasarkan Joint Commission International (JCI) (2012), yaitu 82 responden
(63.1%), meliputi benar pasien 126 responden (96,9%), benar obat 101 responden
(77.7%), benar dosis 98 responden (75.4%), benar rute 127 responden (97.7%),
benar waktu 126 responden (96,9%), benar dokumentasi 128 responden (98.5%),
dan benar informasi 127 responden (97.7%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perawat di
Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh sudah menerapkan prinsip tujuh benar pemberian obat,
namun perlu perhatian kepada perawat yang belum sepenuhnya melaksanakannya
dengan benar. Diharapkan kepada pihak manajemen agar selalu melakukan
pengawasan dan memberikan pelatihan-pelatihan terkait prinsip tujuh benar
pemberian obat.

DESCRIPTION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SEVEN RIGHTS OF MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION BY NURSES IN ACEH PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The issue of ineffective medication administration management by nurses leading to potential patient safety incidents is of significant concern. Indonesia ranks first in the prevalence of medication errors, accounting for 24.8% of the top 10 causes of patient safety incidents in public and psychiatric hospitals. This study aimed to describe the application of the seven rights of drug administration by Nurses to Patients in the Aceh Psychiatric Hospital. The research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing a descriptive cross-sectional study design. Samples were selected using a total sampling technique resulting in respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed by descriptive statistics. The findings revealed that nurses' application of the seven rights of drug administration to patients at the Aceh Psychiatric Hospital was categorized as correct according to the Joint Commission International (2012). Specifically, 82 respondents (63.1%) adhered to the principles correctly, with 126 patients (96.9%) receiving the correct medication, 101 respondents (77.7%) administering the correct dosage, 98 respondents (75.4%) using the correct route, 126 respondents (96.9%) administering medication at the correct time, 128 respondents (98.5%) maintaining correct documentation, and 127 respondents (97.7%) providing correct information. In conclusion, the Aceh Psychiatric Hospital nurses have implemented the seven rights of drug administration; however, attention should be given to those who have not fully complied with these principles. Continuous supervision and training related to the seven right principles of drug administration are recommended.
