Aspirasi karir merupakan keinginan atau harapan individu dalam pemilihan karir. Aspirasi karir memiliki peranan penting dalam membantu masa depan/karir siswa dikarenakan karir adalah salah satu tuntutan dalam kehidupan. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi karir seorang individu adalah gender (jenis kelamin). Persoalan mengenai gender (jenis kelamin) amat mempengaruhi tercapaiannya tujuan karir individu baik pada wanita maupun pria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran tingkat aspirasi karir siswa di tinjau dari jenis kelamin. Jenis pendekatannya yaitu kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah peserta didik SMA Lab School Banda Aceh, SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh dan SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Adapun yang menjadi sampelnya ialah peserta didik kelas XI dengan cara teknik cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan datanya memakai skala aspirasi karir (Adaptasi). Proses Analisis datanya memakai statistik uji beda dengan teknik independent sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan adanya perbedaan aspirasi karir peserta didik pria dan wanita, yaitu tingkat aspirasi karir wanita dilihat pada skor mean berada pada kategori tinggi (192.49), sementara pria berada pada kategori sedang (187.48), artinya tingkat aspirasi peserta didik wanita lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tingkat aspirasi karir pria. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini bisa menjadi petunjuk buat guru BK di sekolah dalam merencanakan strategi bimbingan karir siswa.

Career aspirations are individual desires or expectations in choosing a career. Career aspirations have an important role in helping students' future/career because career is one of the demands in life. One of the factors that affect an individual's career is gender (gender). Issues regarding gender (gender) greatly affect the achievement of individual career goals for both women and men. This study aims to describe the level of student career aspirations in terms of gender. The type of approach is quantitative. The population in this study were students from SMA Lab School Banda Aceh, SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh and SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. The sample is class XI students using the cluster random sampling technique. The data collection method uses a career aspiration scale (Adaptation). The data analysis process uses a statistical test of difference with an independent sample t-test technique. The results of this study prove that there are differences in the career aspirations of male and female students, namely the level of career aspirations of women seen from the mean score is in the high category (192.49), while men are in the medium category (187.48), meaning that the aspiration level of female students is higher than that of female students. with the level of male career aspirations. It is hoped that the results of this research can be a guide for counseling teachers in schools in planning student career guidance strategies. Keywords: Aspiration, Career, Gender
