Produktivitas ayam broiler dapat dilihat melalui pertambahan bobot badan yang dinyatakan sebagai performa ayam broiler. Pertambahan bobot badan akibat peningkatan kadar protein daging dipengaruhi oleh konsumsi pakan ayam broiler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung daun katuk (Sauropus androgynus) terhadap kadar protein daging dan performa ayam broiler. Metode penelitian eksperimental disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Sebanyak 15 ekor sampel DOC ayam broiler dibagi menjadi 5 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Penambahan daun katuk dalam bentuk tepung diberikan mulai hari ke-14 sampai hari ke-28 dengan pemeliharaan selama 4 minggu. P0 merupakan perlakuan kontrol tanpa penambahan tepung daun katuk, tepung daun katuk ditambahkan pada P1 sebanyak 40 gram, P2 60 gram, P3 80 gram, dan P4 100 gram ke dalam 1 kilogram pakan. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Duncan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun katuk ke dalam pakan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kadar protein dada dan pertambahan bobot badan, tetapi tidak mempengaruhi konsumsi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun katuk sebanyak 80-100 g/kg pakan paling efektif terhadap peningkatan kadar protein dada dan pertambahan bobot badan.

The productivity of broiler can be seen through the increase in body weight which is stated as the performance of broiler. Body weight gain due to increased levels of meat protein is influenced by broiler feed consumption. This research aimed to determine the effect of adding katuk leaf flour (Sauropus androgynus) on meat protein levels and performance of broiler. The experimental research method was arranged based on a complete random design (CRD). A total of 15 DOC broiler samples were divided into 5 treatments with 3 replications. The addition of katuk leaves in the form of flour was given from the 14th until the 28th day with maintenance for 4 weeks. P0 was the control treatment without the addition of katuk leaf flour. Katuk leaf flour was added to P1 as much as 40 grams, P2 60 grams, P3 80 grams, and P4 100 grams to 1 kilogram of feed. Research data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan’s further test to see differences between treatments. The result showed that the addition of katuk leaf flour to the feed had an effect on the increase of breast protein levels, increasing body weight, but does not effect to feed consumption and feed convertion ratio. It can be concluded that the addition as much as 80-100 g/kg of katuk leaf flour was the most efficient in increasing chest protein levels and increasing body weight.
