Kulit kering merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sering terjadi dan menyebabkan munculnya rasa tidak nyaman. Banyak orang yang mulai memakai krim pelembap atau moisturizer untuk menjaga kulit tetap terhidrasi atau lembap. Pelembap merupakan salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi kondisi kulit kering. Pelembab bekerja efektif untuk mengatasi kulit kering dan menjaga kelembutan kulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi kombinasi minyak biji bunga matahari dan cocoa butter yang memberikan hasil evaluasi paling baik dan menentukan aktivitas pelembap dari sediaan hand cream. Konsentrasi cocoa butter yang digunakan dalam formula adalah F0 (0%), F1 (2,5%), dan F2 (5%), dengan konsentrasi minyak biji bunga matahari 10%. Hasil evaluasi sediaan menunjukkan bahwa semua sediaan telah memenuhi persyaratan sediaan yang baik. Hasil uji iritasi menunjukkan tidak terdapatnya reaksi positif iritasi pada 30 orang sukarelawan. Hasil uji kesukaan menunjukkan aroma dari sediaan F2 paling disukai, sementara warna serta tekstur dari sediaan F0 yang paling disukai. Hasil uji kelembapan menunjukkan ketiga formula mempunyai aktivitas pelembap pada kulit, presentase kelembapan tertinggi dihasilkan oleh F2, yaitu 21,7%, diikuti oleh F1 18,16%, dan F0 16,3%. Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi minyak biji bunga matahari dan cocoa butter dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan moisturizing hand cream dan mempunyai aktivitas sebagai pelembap kulit.

Dry skin is one of the most common problems that cause discomfort. Many people start using moisturizers to keep their skin hydrated or moisturized. Moisturizer is one of the solutions offered to overcome dry skin conditions. Moisturizers work effectively to overcome dry skin and maintain skin softness. This study aims to determine the concentration of sunflower seed oil and cocoa butter combination that gives the best evaluation results and determines the moisturizing activity of hand cream preparations. The cocoa butter concentrations used in the formulas were F0 (0%), F1 (2.5%), and F2 (5%), with a sunflower seed oil concentration of 10%. The results of the evaluation showed that all hand creams met the requirements of good cream. The results of the irritation test showed that there was no positive reaction to irritation in 30 volunteers. The results of the liking test showed that the aroma of the F2 preparation was the most preferred, while the color and texture of the F0 preparation were the most preferred. The results of the moisture test showed that the three formulas had moisturizing activity on the skin, the highest percentage of moisture was produced by F2, which was 21.7%, followed by F1 18.16%, and F0 16.3%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the combination of sunflower seed oil and cocoa butter can be formulated into a moisturizing hand cream preparation and has activity as a skin moisturizer.
