Penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis Bentuk Patologi Sosial dalam Film Penyalin Cahaya” ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui apa saja bentuk patologi sosial yang terdapat dalam film Penyalin Cahaya, dan (2) mendeskripsikan penggambaran bentuk patologi sosial yang terdapat dalam film Penyalin Cahaya. Pendekatan dan jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa film Penyalin Cahaya. Data penelitian adalah dialog dan adegan dalam film yang mengandung bentuk patologi sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan (1) bentuk patologi sosial, yaitu patologi sosial mental disorder, kriminalitas, korupsi, minuman keras, narkoba, dan pornografi, dan (2) penggambaran patologi sosial yang terdapat dalam film yaitu melalui dialog, adegan, dan peristiwa yang menampilkan dan menjelaskan bentuk patologi sosial berupa mental disorder, kriminalitas (pencurian data, penjualan skripsi ilegal, kekerasan, obstruction of justice), korupsi (suap-menyuap), minuman keras (mabuk-mabukan), narkoba (ganja), dan pornografi (pelecehan seksual). Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat bentuk patologi sosial dalam film Penyalin Cahaya yang digambarkan lewat dialog, adegan, dan peristiwa yang dialami para tokoh secara tidak langsung.

The research entitled “Analysis of the Forms of Social Pathology in Penyalin Cahaya Films” aims to (1) find out what forms of social pathology are contained in the film Penyalin Cahaya, and (2) describe the depiction of forms of social pathology contained in the film Penyalin Cahaya. Approach and type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source for this research is the film Penyalin Cahaya. The research data are dialogues and scenes in films that contain forms of social pathology. The data collection technique uses observation and documentation technique. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study were found (1) forms of social pathology, namely social pathology of mental disorder, crime, corruption, alcohol, drugs, and pornography, and (2) depictions of social pathology contained in films, namely through dialogues, scenes, and events that display and explain forms of social pathology problems in the forms of mental disorder, crime (data theft, sale of illegal thesis, violence, obstruction of justice), corruption (bribery), alcohol (drunkenness), drugs (marijuana), and pornography (sexual harassment). This research shows that there is a forms of social pathology in the film Penyalin Cahaya which is depicted through dialogues, scenes, and events experienced by the characters indirectly.
