Fakultas Teknik merupakan salah satu fakultas dengan peminat terbanyak di Universitas Syiah Kuala. Hal tersebut berdampak pada besarnya permintaan (demand) parkir dan besarnya penyediaan fasilitas parkir (supply) yang haruslah seimbang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kebutuhan ruang parkir di gedung utama fakultas teknik dan memberikan alternatif penyelesain masalah. Tugas akhir ini menggunakan metodologi survei lapangan dan analisis data. Hasil analisis penelitian diperoleh karakteristik parkir Zona 1 yaitu lahan parkir mobil dengan akumulasi kendaraan tertinggi pada hari Selasa pukul 11.15-11.30 sebesar 107 kend dan volume parkir sebesar 243 kend. Indeks parkir tertinggi yaitu 1,11 sedangkan ruang parkir yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 31 SRP. Sedangkan pada Zona 2 yaitu lahan parkir sepeda motor dengan akumulasi kendaraan tertinggi terjadi pada hari Senin pukul 09.00-09.15 sebanyak 472 kend dan volume parkir tertinggi sebanyak 1227 kend. Indeks parkir tertinggi yaitu sebesar 1,12 dengan kebutuhan ruang parkir sebanyak 142 SRP yang didukung oleh hasil survei kepuasan pengguna oleh key informan. Alternatif penyelesain masalah berupa redesign pola lahan parkir, pengelompokkan parkir, dan pemeliharaan parkir.

The Faculty of Engineering is one of the faculties with the most enthusiasts in Syiah Kuala University. This has an impact on the amount of parking demand (demand) and the large supply of parking facilities (supply) which must be balanced. This study aims to determine the characteristics and needs of parking space in the main building of the Faculty of Engineering and provide alternative solutions to the problem. This final project uses a field survey methodology and data analysis methodology. The results of the research analysis obtained the characteristics of Zone 1 parking, namely the car park with the highest accumulation of vehicles on Tuesday at 11.15-11.30 for 107 vehicles and a parking volume of 243 vehicles. The highest parking index is 1.11 while the required parking space is 31 SRP. Zone 2, namely the motorcycle parking area with the highest accumulation of vehicles occurs on Monday from 09.00-09.15 with 472 vehicles and the highest parking volume with 1227 vehicles. The highest parking index is 1.12 with a parking space requirement of 142 SRP which is supported by the results of a user satisfaction survey by key informants. Alternative solutions to the problem include redesigning parking area patterns, parking grouping, and parking maintenance. Keywords: Parking, survey, parking needs, user satisfaction.
