Benteng Kuta Batee merupakan situs arkeologi yang berada di Desa Keude Trumon, Kecamatan Trumon, Aceh Selatan yang memiliki sejarah panjang dimasa lampau, Situs Benteng Kuta Batee perlu dilakukannya revitalisasi untuk meningkatkan nilai-nilai penting dari situs arkeologi. Upaya awal untuk melestarikan situs peninggalan sejarah tersebut dengan mengeksplorasi struktur-struktur situs arkeologi yang tertimbun dibawah permukaan dengan penerapan metode geofisika yaitu metode magnetik. Metode magnetik mampu menginvestigasi bawah permukaan berdasarkan perbedaan medan magnetik yang disebabkan oleh sifat magnetitasi struktur bawah permukaan. Sebanyak 941 stasiun pengukuran yang terdistribusi secara grid pada jarak spasi 2 m diterapkan untuk mencakup kawasan situs bangunan benteng seluas 52x50 m. Secara umum, bentuk anomali dari hasil pemetaan anomali medan magnetik berupa pola berbentuk lingkaran dan pola berbentuk memanjang. Metode transformasi yang dilakukan untuk memudahkan interpretasi adalah metode sinyal analitik. Pada data hasil transformasi juga dilakukan proses filter vertikal derivatif, total horizontal derivatif, tilt derivatif dan filter total horizontal derivatif tilt yang berfungsi untuk memperjelas bentuk struktur di bawah permukaan. Hasil setiap pemfilteran mampu mendelineasikan posisi bangunan utama dan struktur anomali pada situs. Hasil pemetaan struktur situs yang lebih detail hanya dapat dilihat dengan filter tilt derivatif dan total horizontal derivatif tilt. Metode filter ini mampu mengidentifikasikan adanya anomali berbentuk lingkaran, memanjang, dan persegi di kawasan situs Benteng Kuta Batee. Pola anomali tersebut diasumsikan sebagai struktur sumur, struktur terowongan, kubah, dan bangunan benteng. Bagaimanapun penerapan metode geofisika lain dan ekskavasi perlu diterapkan untuk memvalidasi hasil pada penelitian ini.

Kuta Batee Fort is an archaeological site located in Keude Trumon Village, Trumon District, South Aceh Regency. Which has a long history in the past, The Kuta Batee Fort site needs to be revitalized to increase the important values related to the archaeological site of the area. The initial effort to preserve the historical heritage site was to explore the buried archaeological site structures beneath the surface by applying geophysical methods, specifically the magnetic method. The magnetic method is able to investigate the subsurface structures based on the magnetic field differences caused by the magnetizing properties. A total of 941 stations distributed on a grid with 2 m spacing were applied to cover the fort building area of 52 x 50 m. In general, the shapes of the magnetic field anomaly from the mapping are circular and elongated patterns. The transformation method used to facilitate interpretation is analytic signal method. In the transformed data, filtering processes of vertical derivative, total horizontal derivatives, tilt derivatives and total horizontal derivatives tilt are also carried out to clarify the shape of the subsurface structure. The results of the filtering are able to delineate the position of the main building and anomalous structures on the site. More detailed of the results can only be seen with the derivative tilt and the total horizontal derivative tilt. Both methods were able to identify the presence of circular, elongated and square anomalies in the Kuta Batee Fort site area. The anomalous patterns are assumed as well structures, tunnel structures, domes, and fort buildings. However, the application of other geophysical methods and excavations are required to be applied to validate the results of this study.
