Beberapa jenis ikan yang dikategorikan hampir terancam (Near threatened) dan rentan (vulnerable) jenis hiu dan pari masih tertangkap dan diperjual belikan di PPP Labuhan Haji. Salah satu hal yang menjadi penyebab maraknya penangkapan hiu dan pari dikarenakan produk hiu dan pari memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan dipasarkan di pasar domestik maupun internasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis, status konservasi jenis dan nilai ekonomis ikan yang didaratkan di PPP Labuhan Haji Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli-Agustus 2022 di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (PPP) Labuhan Haji, Desa Pasar Lama, Kecamatan Labuhan Haji, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif yang bersifat survey dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perciformes dan Carangidae merupakan ordo dan famili yang paling banyak ditemukan di PPP Labuhan Haji. Status konservasi jenis ikan dilihat dari daftar merah IUCN 64% Least concern, 9% Not evaluated, 7% Data deficient, 7% Vulnerable, 6% Near threatened, 4% Endangered, 3% Critically endangered. Berdasarkan CITES tercatat 7%
Appendix II, dan 93% not evaluated. Berdasarkan Kepmen No.1 KEPMEN-KP/2021 Tentang Jenis Ikan Yang Dilindungi tidak terdapat spesies yang tercatat sebagai jenis ikan yang dilindungi di Indonesia. Ikan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis paling tinggi ialah dari famili Serranidae dengan harga rata-rata Rp. 63.333 /Kg dan jenis ikan dengan harga jual paling rendah ialah dari famili Mobulidae dengan harga rata-rata Rp. 8.500/Kg. Jenis ikan yang didaratkan di PPP Labuhan Haji ditangkap dengan pukat cincin, jaring insang, pancing dan bagan apung.

Several types of fish categorized as near threatened and vulnerable, sharks and rays are still caught and traded at Labuhan Haji PPP. One of the reasons for the rampant fishing of sharks and rays is that shark and ray products have high economic value and are marketed in both the domestic and international markets. The aim of this study was to determine the species composition, species conservation status and economic value of fish landed at Labuhan Haji PPP, South Aceh. This research was conducted in July-August 2022 at the Labuhan Haji Beach Fishing Port (PPP), Pasar Lama Village, Labuhan Haji District, South Aceh Regency. The research method used is descriptive method which is a survey and observation. The results showed that the Perciformes and Carangidae were the most common orders and families in PPP Labuhan Haji. The conservation status of fish species seen from the IUCN red list is 64% Least concern, 9% Not evaluated, 7% Data deficient, 7% Vulnerable, 6% Near threatened, 4% Endangered, 3% Critically endangered. Based on CITES, it was recorded that 7% of Appendix II, and 93% were not evaluated. Based on Ministerial Decree No. 1 KEPMEN-KP/2021 Concerning Protected Fish Species there are no species recorded as protected fish species in Indonesia. Fish that have the highest economic value are from the Serranidae family with an average price of Rp. 63,333 / kg and the type of fish with the lowest selling price is from the Mobulidae family with an average price of Rp. 8,500/Kg. The types of fish landed at PPP Labuhan Haji are caught using purse seines, gill nets, fishing rods and boat lift net.
