Golongan guru merupakan salah satu hal yang penting dalam dunia pendidikan. Karena semakin tinggi golongan guru maka dapat dikatakan guru tersebut semakin berkualitas dan semakin berpengalaman dalam mengajar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka perlu dilihat faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi golongan guru PNS agar dapat lebih diperhatikan oleh guru ataupun institusi pendidikan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yaitu Data Pokok Pendidikan (Dapodik) yang bersumber dari cabang dinas pendidikan Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan golongan guru PNS tingkat SMA/Sederajat di Banda Aceh tahun 2021 adalah Classification and Regression Tree (CART). Metode ini juga digunakan untuk melihat urutan variabel-variabel yang paling berpengaruh dalam mengklasifikasikan golongan guru PNS di Banda Aceh. Model terbaik yang diperoleh diatur dengan menggunakan hyper-parameter yaitu minsplit dan Complexity Parameter (CP). Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisa data menggunakan metode CART adalah model terbaik merupakan model yang menggunakan nilai minsplit 15 dan CP mínimum yaitu 0. Model tersebut menghasilkan nilai akurasi yang dilihat berdasarkan nilai AUC sebesar 82,25% yang artinya model tersebut masuk pada kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh delapan variabel yang paling berpengaruh (variable importance) secara berurutan adalah variabel masa kerja, bidang studi pendidikan, akreditasi, usia, status sertifikasi, jenis PTK, jenis kelamin, dan pendidikan terakhir.

The class of teachers is one of the important things in the world of education. Because the higher the class of teacher, it can be said that the teacher is more qualified and more experienced in teaching. Based on this, it is necessary to look at the factors that influence the class of PNS teachers so that teachers or educational institutions can pay more attention to them. The data used in this study is secondary data, namely Basic Education Data (Dapodik) which originates from the Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar education offices. The method used to classify PNS teacher groups at the SMA/Equivalent level in Banda Aceh in 2021 is the Classification and Regression Tree (CART). This method is also used to look at the order of the most influential variables in classifying PNS teacher groups in Banda Aceh. The best model obtained is set using hyper-parameters, namely minsplit and Complexity Parameter (CP). The results obtained from data analysis using the CART method are that the best model is the model that uses a minsplit value of 15 and a minimum CP of 0. This model produces an accuracy value based on the AUC value of 82,25%, which means that the model is included in the good category. Based on the results of the study, the eight most influential variables importance were years of service, field of study, accreditation, age, certification status, type of PTK, gender, and last education.
