Bullying is often occurs in the school and causing negative impacts on victim’s mental health. Victim will also be more risk to do self injury behavior that refers to self-destruction based on the desire to harm themselves Self injury behavior is closely related to the relationship of adolescents between their parents which is called as parental attachment. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between parental attachment to self injury behavior in high-school adolescents who were victims of bullying. This study used a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique, and involved 86 adolescent victims of bullying who were in high-school with age range of 15-18 years. Data collection in this study used adaptation measures Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) and Self Harm Inventory (SHI). Data analysis used Spearman-Brown Formula with significant value and correlation coefficient of father attachment to self injury behavior was p = 0.000, r = -0.535 and significant value and correlation coefficient of mother attachment to self injury behavior was p = 0.000, r = -0.523. This indicates that there is negative significant relationship between father attachment with self injury behavior and there is negative significant relationship between mother attachment with self injury behavior which means that the higher parental attachment, the lower self injury behavior of high school adolescent victims of bullying in Banda Aceh. Based on the categorization, the majority of subjects were at a high level of father attachment (66.3%), high mother attachment (70.9%), and low self injury behavior (37.2%).
