Judul : Pengaruh Strategi Scaffolding Terhadap Performa Menulis Siswa
(Studi Eksperimental di SMPS Al-Falah )

Masalah siswa menjadi alasan peneliti untuk membuat penelitian dan peneliti tertarik untuk mengajar menulis dengan menggunakan strategi scaffolding. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak positif dari strategi scaffolding melalui kinerja keterampilan menulis siswa di SMP Al-Falah. Peneliti memfokuskan pada aspek penulisan yang terdiri dari isi, organisasi, tata bahasa, kosa kata dan mekanisme. Teks prosedur resep adalah teks yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode True-Experiment dengan pretest-posttest group design. Peneliti menggunakan populasi siswa kelas IX dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sampel terdiri dari 22 siswa untuk kedua kelas. Proses analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t berpasangan. Kriteria uji t berpasangan adalah jika skor t hitung lebih tinggi dari t tabel, maka hipotesis nol ditolak. Hasil standar signifikansi α = 0,05 dan derajat kebebasan/df = (n1+n2-2) = 22=22-2 =42, dari distribusi t-tabel diperoleh t (0,05)(42)= 2,1 . T-hitung penelitian yang diperoleh adalah 4,44. Artinya hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Jadi, ada dampak positif pada kemampuan menulis siswa dengan menggunakan strategi scaffolding dalam pengajaran menulis.
Abstract Name : Nurul Azkia Study No. : 1806102020010 Study Program : Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Faculty : Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Title : The Impact of Scaffolding Strategy on Students Writing Performance (An Experimental Study at Al-Falah Junior High School) Key words : procedure text, scaffolding strategy, writing The problem of students is the reason for the researcher to make a study and the researcher was interested to teach writing by using scaffolding strategy. The objective of this study is to find out the positive impact of scaffolding strategy through students’ performance of writing skill at students of Al-Falah Junior High School. The researcher focused on writing aspects that consist of content, organization, grammar, vocabulary and mechanism. The procedure text of recipe is the text used in this study. The study used the True-Experiment method with pretest-posttest group design. The researcher used a population of grade IX and collected the sample by using a random sampling technique of an experiment and a control class. The sample consisted of 22 students for both classes. The process of data analysis is used descriptive statistics and the hypothesis testis ed by using pair t-test. The paired t-test criteria are if the score of t-count is higher than t-table, then the hypothesis null is rejected. The result of standard of significant α = 0.05 and the degree of freedom/df = (n1+n2-2) = 22=22-2 =42, from the t-table distribution was obtained t (0.05)(42)= 2.1. The t-count of the study obtained was 4.44. It meant that the hypothesis null (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So, there is the positive impact on students’ writing performance by using scaffolding strategy in teaching writing.
