Buku KIA adalah buku yang berisi catatan kesehatan ibu mulai dari hamil, bersalin, nifas, dan catatan kesehatan anak mulai dari bayi baru lahir hingga balita, serta berbagai informasi cara merawat kesehatan ibu dan anak. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan pemanfaatan buku Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA) terhadap pengetahuan ibu tentang perawatan baduta di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Langsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan Oktober 2022 – Januari 2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah orangtua yang memiliki dan sedang mengasuh bayi usia 0-2 tahun, orangtua yang memiliki buku KIA tahun 2020, dan orangtua yang bersedia ikut penelitian. Pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling didapatkan 80 responden. Analisis data dengan menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden dengan usia 26-35 tahun (66,3%), Pendidikan SMA (61,3%), tidak bekerja (92,5%). Manfaat buku KIA berhubungan dengan pengetahuan ibu mengenai ASI (p=0,000), dan tumbuh kembang (p=0,001) namun tidak berhubungan dengan imunisasi (p=0,050) dan MPASI (p=0,247). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan buku KIA berkolerasi positif dengan pengetahuan mengenai ASI dan tumbuh kembang serta bermakna signifikan, tetapi tidak bermakna signifikan dengan pengetahuan imunisasi dan MPASI.

The MCH handbook is a book that contains health records for mothers starting from pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and children's health records starting from newborns to toddlers, as well as various information on how to care for the health of mothers and children. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the use of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) books on mothers' knowledge about caring for babies at the Langsa Regional General Hospital. This research was conducted in October 2022 - January 2023. This research type is an analytical research with a cross sectional design. The population of this study were parents who had and were caring for babies aged 0-2 years, parents who had the 2020 MCH handbook, and parents who were willing to take part in the research. Sampling by simple random sampling obtained 80 respondents. Data analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 26-35 years (66.3%), had high school education (61.3%), did not work (92.5%). The benefits of the MCH handbook were related to mother's knowledge about breastfeeding (p=0.000), and growth and development (p=0.001) but not related to immunization (p=0.050) and complementary foods (p=0.247). It can be concluded that utilization of the MCH handbook has a positive correlation with knowledge about breastfeeding and growth and development and is significant, but not significantly significant with knowledge of immunization and complementary feeding.
