KESIAPAN MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN TINGKAT AKHIR UNTUK MELAKUKAN BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR DI KOTA BANDA ACEH

ABSTRAK
Sebagian besar kasus korban henti jantung tidak menerima bantuan hidup dasar (BHD) dari masyarakat yang menyaksikan di tempat kejadian, diantaranya karena kurang pengetahuan hingga takut melakukan hal yang salah. Salah satu aspek utama dalam kesiapan berupa aspek softskill yang meliputi pengetahuan, kepercayaan diri dan kemauan yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa keperawatan sebagai calon tenaga kesehatan, dimana mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat akhir juga salah satu bagian masyarakat yang telah menerima seluruh proses pembelajaran dalam studi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesiapan mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat akhir dalam melakukan BHD di Kota Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi berjumlah 227 mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat akhir di dua universitas yaitu Universitas Syiah Kuala dan Universitas Abulyatama. Metode pengambilan sampel purposive sampling berjumlah 113 responden. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui google form. Hasil penelitian didapatkan kesiapan mahasiswa berada pada kategori baik (43,4%) sebanyak 49 responden dengan tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai BHD mayoritas berada pada kategori cukup sebanyak 51 responden (45,1%), tingkat kepercayaan diri responden berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 57 responden (50,4%), dan tingkat kemauan berada pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 81 responden (71,7%). Disarankan bagi institusi pendidikan untuk dapat memilih metode pembelajaran yang efektif guna menunjang kesiapan mahasiswa jenjang sarjana dalam melakukan BHD, seperti mereview materi atau menyediakan fasilitas belajar yang memadai sebagai tempat pelatihan.

One of the main aspects of readiness is soft skills which incorporate knowledge, confidence, and willingness needed by nursing students as prospective health workers, where final-year nursing students are also part of society who have received education and knowledge in their studies. This study aims to describe the readiness of final-year nursing students in Banda Aceh City to do BLS. This is quantitative research with a descriptive design and cross-sectional approach. The population of this research was 227 final-year nursing students at two universities, namely Syiah Kuala University and Abulyatama University. The sampling method was purposive sampling with 113 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires via google forms. The results showed that student readiness was in a good category (43.4%) as many as 49 respondents with a level of student knowledge about BLS the majority were in the sufficient category as many as 51 respondents (45.1%), the level of self-confidence of respondents was in the medium category as many as 57 respondents (50.4%), and the level of willingness is in the high category of 81 respondents (71.7%). After having this study, the researcher would like to recommend that educational institutions choose effective learning methods to support the readiness of undergraduate students in carrying out BLS, such as reviewing material or providing adequate learning facilities as training venues.
