HUBUNGAN SKOR ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE OF VAGINAL MUCUS (ERVM) DENGAN KADAR ESTROGEN PADA FASE ESTRUS SAPI ACEH


ABSTRAK

Langkah kunci dalam penerapan teknologi inseminasi buatan dan transfer embrio pada sapi adalah ketepatan dalam mendeteksi estrus. Salah satu perkembangan terkini untuk deteksi estrus yang tepat adalah melalui pengukuran resistensi lendir vagina menggunakan electrical resistance of vaginal mucus (ERVM). Tujuan penelitian ini menentukan korelasi skor ERVM dengan kadar estrogen pada fase estrus sapi aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 ekor sapi aceh betina, berumur 3-5 tahun, dan sehat secara klinis. Penentuan skor ERVM dilakukan menggunakan detector estrus probe DraminskiTM yang dimasukkan ke dalam vagina pada hari pertama estrus. Pengukuran konsentrasi estrogen menggunakan metode enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) dari sampel darah yang dikoleksi pada hari pertama estrus. Data korelasi antara skor ERVM dan konsentrasi estrogen dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata ERVM pada fase estrus sebesar 192,00±6,49 Ω, dan rata-rata konsentrasi estrogen adalah 107,00±47,03 pg/ml, dengan koefisien korelasinya adalah -0,13. Kesimpulannya, skor EVRM pada sapi aceh yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini berkorelasi negatif dengan konsentrasi estrogen. Peningkatan kadar estrogen menimbulkan penurunan skor ERVM.

CORRELATION OF ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE OF VAGINAL MUCUS (ERVM) SCORE WITH ESTROGEN LEVEL IN THE ESTRUS PHASE OF ACEH CATTLE ABSTRACT The key step in implementing artificial insemination and embryo transfer technology in cattle is the accuracy of estrus detection. One of the recent developments for the proper detection of estrus is through the measurement of vaginal mucus resistance using electrical resistance of vaginal mucus (ERVM). The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between ERVM score and estrogen level in the estrus phase of Aceh cow. This study used 5 Aceh cows aged 3-5 years and clinically healthy. The ERVM score was determined using the DraminskiTM probe estrus detector inserted into the vagina on the first day of estrus. Measurement of estrogen was performed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method from blood samples collected on the first day of estrus. The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The results showed that the average score of ERVM and the average concentration of estrogen in the estrus phase were 192.00±6.49 Ω, and 107.00±47.03 pg/ml, respectively. In conclusion, the EVRM score in Aceh cows negatively correlates with estrogen concentration. The increasing estrogen level results in decreasing in the ERVM score.
