Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh rasio keuangan terhadap financial distress Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten dan Kota di Sumatera Periode 2017-2020. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pemerintah daerah kabupaten/kota yang ada di Sumatera yang berjumlah total 154 kabupaten/kota dalam 10 provinsi. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 112 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Pengujian statistik menggunakan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa solvabilitas jangka pendek tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress Pemerintah Daerah, Kabupaten dan Kota di Sumatera. Solvabilitas jangka panjang tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress Pemerintah Daerah, Kabupaten dan Kota di Sumatera. Solvabilitas operasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial distress Pemerintah Daerah, Kabupaten dan Kota di Sumatera. Kemandirian keuangan tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress Pemerintah Daerah, Kabupaten dan Kota di Sumatera. Fleksibilitas keuangan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial distress Pemerintah Daerah, Kabupaten dan Kota di Sumatera periode 2017-2020.
This study examines the effect of financial ratios on financial distress of Regency and City Regional Governments in Sumatra for the 2017-2020 Period. The population in this study were all district / city local governments in Sumatra, totaling 154 districts / cities in 10 provinces. The number of samples in this study amounted to 112 respondents who were taken using stratified random sampling technique. The data used is secondary data. Statistical testing using SPSS software assistance. The results of this study indicate that short-term solvency has no effect on financial distress of local governments, districts and cities in Sumatra. Long-term solvency has no effect on financial distress of local governments, districts and cities in Sumatra. Operational solvency has a positive and significant effect on financial distress of local governments, districts and cities in Sumatra. Financial independence has no effect on financial distress of local governments, districts and cities in Sumatra. Financial flexibility has a positive and significant effect on financial distress of Regional Governments, Regencies and Cities in Sumatra for the period 2017-2020.
