Efikasi diri dan platform pembelajaran daring telah banyak diteliti dan dianggap sebagai faktor keberhasilan pembelajaran daring. Namun, sedikit penelitian yang mencari korelasi antara variabel-variabel tersebut secara empiris, termasuk di dalam kelas EFL daring. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki apakah ada korelasi yang signifikan antara penggunaan platform pembelajaran daring dan efikasi diri siswa EFL dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan dua kuesioner yaitu kuesioner Platform Pembelajaran Daring dan kuesioner SeQoL. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 134 mahasiswa EFL di tiga universitas di Aceh yaitu Universitas Syiah Kuala, Universitas Samudera, dan Universitas Islam Negeri Cot Kala. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi Spearman. Secara umum, penelitian ini menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan antara penggunaan platform pembelajaran daring dan efikasi diri siswa EFL dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Namun, ada dua faktor dari platform pembelajaran daring, yaitu virtual meeting dan assessment yang tidak berkorelasi dengan tiga konstruk efikasi diri, yaitu students’ social interaction, students’ academic interaction dan students’ interaction with lecturers. Kemudian, penelitian ini menyarankan agar dosen mempertimbangkan penggunaan platform pembelajaran daring yang dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa terutama dalam faktor interaksi mereka selama kelas EFL daring.
Self-efficacy and online learning platforms have been extensively researched recently and are considered as factors of online learning success. However, little research empirically seeks the correlation between those variables, including in EFL online classes. Therefore, this research aims to investigate whether there is a significant correlation between the use of online learning platforms and EFL students’ self-efficacy in learning English. This quantitative research used two questionnaires i.e. Online Learning Platform Questionnaire and Self-Efficacy Questionnaire for Online Learning (SeQoL). The sample of this research is 134 EFL students in three universities in Aceh i.e. Universitas Syiah Kuala, Samudera University, and Cot Kala State Islamic University. The data was analyzed using Spearman Correlation. In general, this research indicated a significant correlation between the use of online learning platforms and EFL students’ self-efficacy in learning English. However, there are two factors of online learning platforms, namely virtual meetings and assessment that are not correlated with three constructs of self-efficacy, i.e. students’ social interaction, students’ academic interaction and students’ interaction with lecturers. In addition, this research suggests that lecturers consider the use of online learning platforms that can enhance students’ self-efficacy especially in their interaction factors during EFL online classes.
