Perkembangan globalisasi yang sangat pesat berdampak pada peningkatan kebutuhan listrik dan air. Kebutuhan listrik dan air terdapat pada semua sektor seperti industri, rumah sakit, dan perkantoran. Oleh karna itu, listrik memegang peranan penting dalam industri pengolahan air bersih untuk menggerakkan mesin-mesin listrik dalam perusahaannya, sumber tenaga listrik dapat diperoleh dari Pembangkit Listrik Negara (PLN) dan Generator Set. Obeservasi ini melihat kinerja permasalahan dan menganalisa panel ATS-AMF pada PDAM TIRTA MOUNTALA yaitu ketika listrik PLN padam maka secara automatis beban akan berpindah ke Genset dan sebaliknya ketika PLN menyala maka beban listrik akan berpindah kembali ke PLN tanpa membutuhkan bantuan tenaga manusia.
Kesimpulan dari obeservasi ini memahami prinsip kerja panel ATS (Automatic Tranfer Switch) yang secara otomatis dapat menghidupkan dan mematikan Genset pada saat PLN padam/black out ketika menyuplai tenaga listrik agar tidak mengganggu instalasi atau mesin pada beban.

The rapid development of globalization has an increased demand for electricity and water. The necessary for electricity and water are found in all sectors such as industry, hospitals and offices. Therefore, electricity plays an important role in the clean water treatment industry to drive electric machines in the company, sources of electric power can be obtained from the Pembangkit Listrik Negara (PLN) and Generator Set. This research aims to design and analyze the ATS-AMF panel at PDAM TIRTA MOUNTALA, at the time when the PLN power black out, the load will automatically move to the Genset and otherwise, when the PLN is on the electric load will move back to PLN without involve for human assistance. The conclusion of this research is to understand the working principle of the ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) panel which can automatically turn on and turn off the Genset when the PLN black out while supplying electricity so as not to disturb the installation or the machine under load.
