Tari Aer Ulak ini terinspirasi dari sebuah tradisi zaman dahulu yang telah punah. Karya tari ini diciptakan oleh Rezky Kurnia Putri pada tahun 2018. Rezky Kurnia Putri mengangkat sebuah garapan tari dengan tema tradisi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses kreatif penciptaan Tari Aer Ulak karya Rezky Kurnia Putri melalui tahap eksplorasi, improvisasi, evaluasi, dan komposisi. Objek penelitian ini adalah tari Aer Ulak yang dikaji dariproses kreatif yang meliputi elemen-elemen komposisi tari seperti tema, gerak,tata rias, tata busana, iringan, pola lantai, properti dengan menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif. Tema Tari Aer Ulak pada awalnya yaitu berupa ritual yang menggambarkan tentang budaya yang menampilkan kembali budaya yang telah hilang dalam sebuah gerakan seni tari. Urutan gerak yang dilakukan dimulai dari salam pembuka, membawa perasap, ngerajah, mencak, menurunkan lancang serta menanti firasat. Tari ditampilkan dengan menggunakan properti sajen, memakai tata rias wajah yang tegas serta bernuansa seram, serta diiringin oleh keyboard, gendang melayu, biola,bamba, ketipung, dan akordion.Sumber data penelitian ini adalah Rezky Kurnia Putri, selakukoreografer atau pencipta Tari Aer Ulak. Teknik pengumpulan datadilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis datadilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi. Oleh karena itu, didapatkan hasil penelitian berupa tahap-tahap yang dilakukan oleh Rezky dalam proses kreatif meliputi tahap eksplorasi, improvisasi, evaluasi, dan tahap komposisi yaitu proses penyusunan gerak yang telah didapatkan dari proses eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan evaluasi menjadi satu tarian yang utuh. Selain itu proses kreatif penciptaan Tari Aer Ulak juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor seperti faktor lingkungan, sarana atau fasilitas, keterampilan atau skill, identitas atau gaya (style), originalitas atau keaslian,dan apresiasi atau penghargaan.

This research aims to describe the creative process of creating the Aer Ulak Dance by Rezky Kurnia Putri through the stages of exploration, improvisation, evaluation, and composition. The object of this research is the Aer Ulak dance which is studied from the creative process which includes elements of dance composition such as theme, movement, make-up, fashion, accompaniment, floor pattern, properties using a qualitative approach. The theme of the Aer Ulak dance was originally in the form of a ritual depicting culture that re-presents a culture that has been lost in a dance movement. The sequence of movements that are carried out starts from the opening greeting, bringing peresap, tattooing, stamping, lowering impudence and waiting for hunch. The dance is performed using sajen props, using strict and spooky make-up, and accompanied by keyboards, Malay drums, violins, bamba, ketipung, and accordions. The source of this research data is Rezky Kurnia Putri, as the choreographer or creator of the Aer Ulak Dance. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner with data reduction steps, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity test of the data was carried out using a triangulation technique. Therefore, the results of the research are in the form of stages carried out by Rezky in the creative process including the exploration, improvisation, evaluation, and composition stages, namely the process of composing the movements that have been obtained from the processes of exploration, improvisation, and evaluation into one complete dance. Besides that, the creative process of creating the Aer Ulak Dance is also influenced by factors such as environmental factors, facilities or facilities, skills or skills, identity or style (style), originality or authenticity, and appreciation or appreciation.
