Buku teks merupakan salah satu alat yang sangat bermanfaat dalam proses belajar ‎mengajar genre teks. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis struktur ‎skematis dari prosedur teks tulisan yang terdapt dalam buku Bahasa Inggris kelas IX ‎SMP. Objekdari penelitian in adalah teks prosedur yang terdapat dalam buku“Bright An ‎English Course for Junior High School Students” yang diterbitkan oleh Erlangga pada ‎‎2019. Instrument pada penelitian ini adalah tabel cheklist berdasarkan struktur ‎kebahasaan (Anderson and Kathy, 1997). Data diperoleh melalui analisis dokumen. ‎Penulis mengumpulkan data dengan mengecek list dari tabel analisis struktur skematis ‎untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Data kemudian di analisis menggunakan ‎iterative analisis. Iterative adalah proses yang sistematis, repetatif dan rekursif dalam ‎analisis data kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan 12 teks prosedur yang dibagi ‎menjadi dua macam, resep dan manual. Terdapat 8 resep dan 4 manual di dalam buku ‎teks tersebut. Resep yang terdapat di dalam buku memuat tentang resep makanan dan ‎beberapa tentang tatacara membuat karya tangan. Di dalam resep prosedur, struktur ‎skematis yang harus ada adalah judul/tujuan, bahan-bahan, tahapan, dan hasil. Terdapat ‎‎5 text dari 12 teks yang tidak memiliki struktur prosedur text yang ideal.‎

One of the most useful tools that a teacher can use in the process of teaching and ‎learning text genres is textbooks. The aims of this research was to analyze schematic ‎structure of the procedure texts written in English textbook for grade IX junior high ‎school. The object of this study was the procedure texts found in the textbook entitled ‎‎“Bright An English Course for Junior High School Students” published by Erlangga in ‎‎2019. The data were collected through document analysis. The researcher collected the ‎data by checking the list of schematic structure checklist and analytical table checklist in ‎order to answer the research questions. The data were then analyzed through iterative ‎analysis. The result of this research that were found 12 of procedure texts are divided ‎into two kinds of procedure, recipe and manual. There are 8 recipes and 4 manuals in the ‎textbook. The recipes found in the book are more about food recipes although there are ‎also several recipes for making handicraft products. In the recipe procedure text, the ‎schematic structure that should exist is the goal/aim, ingredients, steps, and results. ‎There are five texts from12 texts, do not have the ideal structure of procedural texts.‎
