This Library research attempts to search experts’ statements about Talking Chips in teaching speaking skill. The writer has collected some data from several sources like books, and articles. Previous studies have shown that the use of Talking Chips based on cooperative learning has successfully improved students’ speaking ability. It is proven by some experts’ statements like Spencer (1992), Slavin (1994), Kagan (1996), Jeremy (1998) and Isjoni (2011), who state teaching speaking with Talking Chips is effective since this teaching model encourages students to speak which promotes the language use, as well as in motivation of sharing ideas, with classmates. Consequently, this Talking Chips Model triggers the students into cooperation that help them in understanding speaking lesson better. &#13;
