Minat merupakan suatu bentuk rasa ketertarikan yang ditunjukkan oleh setiap individu untuk mendorong dirinya agar melakukan sesuatu hal yang disukai terhadap pelajaran, hobi, ataupun olahraga. Untuk mewujudkan suatu aktivitas tersebut perlu adanya minat, karena dengan adanya minat dapat menimbulkan rasa tertarik dan senang untuk melakukan suatu aktivitas. Minat sangat berpengaruh pada keikutsertaan seseorang dalam suatu kegiatan tertentu, namun ada beberapa individu yang mengikuti aktivitas tersebut tanpa adanya minat yang timbul dari diri sendiri, seperti adanya dorongan dari orang tua, instansi maupun keterpaksaan seseorang dalam mengikuti aktivitas tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat siswa SMKN 1 Kota Banda Aceh terhadap olahraga beladiri taekwondo melalui ekstrakurikuler taekwondo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMKN 1 Kota Banda Aceh yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler taekwondo yang berjumlah 16 siswa dan yang menjadi sampel adalah seluruh dari populasi penelitian (total sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan rumus kategorisasi jenjang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat minat siswa SMKN 1 Kota Banda Aceh terhadap olahraga beladiri taekwondo sebesar 83,9375 (kategori tinggi), dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) sebanyak 14 responden berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 87,5%, dan (2) sebanyak 2 responden berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 12,5%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa minat siswa SMKN 1 Kota Banda Aceh terhadap olahraga beladiri taekwondo berada pada kategori tinggi.

Evaluation of Student Interest in State Vocational High School 1 Banda Aceh City in Taekwondo Martial Arts Interest is a form of interest shown by each individual to encourage himself to do something he likes about lessons, hobbies, or sports. To realize an activity, there needs to be interest, because with interest it can create a sense of interest and pleasure in doing an activity. Interest is very influential on a person's participation in a particular activity, but there are some individuals who participate in these activities without any interest that arises from themselves, such as encouragement from parents, agencies or someone's compulsion to participate in these activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the interest of the students of SMKN 1 Banda Aceh to the sport of taekwondo through taekwondo extracurricular activities. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of survey research. The population in this study were students of SMKN 1 Banda Aceh City who took part in taekwondo extracurriculars, totaling 16 students and the entire sample of the research population (total sampling). Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using the level categorization formula. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the average level of interest of SMKN 1 Banda Aceh City students towards the sport of taekwondo is 83.9375 (high category), with details as follows: (1) 14 respondents are in the high category with a percentage of 87, 5%, and (2) 2 respondents were in the medium category with a percentage of 12.5%. From these results, it can be concluded that the interest of the students of SMKN 1 Banda Aceh in the sport of taekwondo is in the high category. Keywords: Interests, Taekwondo
