Dunia kerja terus mengalami perubahan seiring waktu berjalan, terlebih sejak munculnya pandemi Covid-19. Para tenaga kerja pun dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan baru di dalam lingkungan kerja. Adaptabilitas karier merupakan kemampuan individu dalam menghadapi perubahan yang terjadi serta mampu beradaptasi terhadap tantangan-tantangan baru. Sebelum masuk ke dunia kerja, penting bagi mahasiswa agar memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik sebagai persiapan menghadapi perubahan dalam dunia kerja. Salah satu konsep yang berperan penting bagi individu dalam mempersiapkan perjalanan kariernya adalah future time perspective. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara future time perspective dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Syiah Kuala. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel convenience. Sebanyak 311 mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Syiah Kuala yang sedang menyusun skripsi menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) dan Future Time Perspective Scale (FTPS) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam konteks dan budaya Indonesia. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Spearman Rho Correlation. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dimensi connectedness memiliki hubungan positif dengan adaptabilitas karier (p=0,00, r= 0,383). Sementara itu, tidak terdapat hubungan antara dimensi distance dengan adaptabilitas karier (p=0,906, r= -0,007), serta dimensi speed dengan adaptabilitas karier (p=0,379, r=0,050).

The world of work continues to change over time, especially since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. The workforce is faced with new challenges that occur within the work environment. Career adaptability is the ability to deal with changes that occur in a situation and capable to adapt to new challenges. Before entering the working environment, it is important for university students to have career adaptability in preparation for the world of work. One of the concepts that play an important role for individuals in preparing for their career journey is future time perspective. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the future time perspective and career adaptability among final year students of Syiah Kuala University. Research method used in the study was quantitative approach using convenience sampling technique. A total of 311 final year students of Syiah Kuala University who were in the process of designing their undergraduate thesis were involved as participants in this study. Data retrieval was carried out using Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) and Future Time Perspective Scale (FTPS) which has been adapted to suit Indonesian context and culture. Data analysis used in the study was Spearman Rho Correlation. Results showed that there was a relationship between connectedness and career adaptability (p=0,00, r= 0,383). Results also showed that there are no relationships between distance and career adaptability (p=0,906, r= -0,007), and speed with career adaptability (p=0,379, r=0,050).
