This script is entitled “Modeling Technique in Improving Students’ Speaking Skill &#13;
(An Experimental Research at First Grade of SMKN 5 Telkom Banda Aceh)” .One &#13;
class pre-test and post-test experimental design was applied in teaching process at &#13;
SMKN 5 Telkom Banda Aceh. This study is to know how Modeling technique &#13;
improves students’ scores in speaking. The population of this study was thefirst &#13;
grade students of SMKN 5 Telkom Banda Aceh which were taken randomly and the &#13;
dataof this study were collected on April 26&#13;

until May 10&#13;

,2014. Instruments for &#13;
this study are test. The test was imperative sentences that consists of . The data of &#13;
test were analyzed by using t-Formula to find out the t-score. The  score of post-test &#13;
(75) was higher than pre-test (31.84). The mean score of post-test and pre-test is &#13;
(43.15). It was also shown that the difference value of t-score (10.81) was higher &#13;
than t-table (2.101). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the &#13;
null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. In conclusion, the writer concludes thatusing &#13;
Modeling technique can improve students’ speaking skill.</note>
