ABSTRAK
LPKA adalah tempat pembinaan bagi anak yang sedang berhadapan dengan hukum
guna dibina oleh petugas agar menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik, dilihat dari prestasi
yang dimiliki, LPKA Kelas II Banda Aceh dianggap berhasil dalam merubah dan
memotivasi anak untuk mejadi pribadi yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mendeskripsikan bagaimana komunikasi antarpribadi yang terjalin antara petugas dan
andikpas dalam proses pembinaan sehingga terjadi perubahan konsep diri pada
andikpas. Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive
sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik
pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah wawancara mendalam,
observasi, dan dokumen penting yang mendukung dalam proses penelitian. Penelitian
ini menggunakan Teori Interaksionisme Simbolik, dimana teori ini menjelaskan bahwa
konsep diri seseorang terbentuk berdasarkan tiga konsep yang dijelaskan Mead yaitu:
Mind, Self, Dan Society. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komunikasi yang terjadi antara
petugas dan andikpas di LPKA Kelas II Banda Aceh adalah komunikasi yang efektif
yang mengakibatkan adanya motivasi dalam melakukan sebuah komunikasi
antarpribadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh petugas yang
dikatakan sebagai masyrakat secara mikro dalam perubahan konsep diri andikpas
melalui komunikasi antarpribadi yang efektif.

ABSTRACT LPKA is a place of guidance for children who are in conflict with the law to be fostered by officers to become better individuals, judging from their achievements, LPKA Class II Banda Aceh is considered successful in changing and motivating children to become better individuals. This study aims to describe how interpersonal communication that exists between officers and andikpas in the coaching process so that there is a change in self-concept in andikpas. The selection of informants in this study used a purposive sampling technique. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this research are in-depth interviews, observations, and important documents that support the research process. This study uses Symbolic Interactionism Theory, which explains that a person's self-concept is formed based on the three concepts described by Mead, namely: Mind, Self, and Society. The results showed that the communication that occurred between officers and andikpas at LPKA Class II Banda Aceh was effective communication which resulted in motivation in conducting interpersonal communication. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of officers who are said to be the community on a micro basis in changing the self-concept of andikpas through effective interpersonal communication.
