 <note>At this time the internet services used by the public generally come from PT. Telkom IndiHome. In Article 1 number (7) of Law Number 36 of 1999 concerning Telecommunications, it is stated that telecommunications services are telecommunications services to fulfill telecommunications needs by using telecommunications networks. The agreement in the IndiHome contract includes a standard agreement, which is a form of agreement that contains certain clauses and this agreement is made by the parties whose contents are determined by one party only. The position of consumers who are in a weak position requires legal protection.&#13;
The purpose of this study is to explain the implementation of legal protection for consumers of IndiHome services in Banda Aceh City and to find out the settlement method provided by PT. Telkom to consumers of IndiHome services who experience losses.&#13;
The writing of this thesis uses empirical juridical research methods. Data collection was obtained by library research, namely to obtain secondary data collection from library books, laws and regulations, journals, and those issued by PT. Telkom and related to those discussed, then by means of field research to obtain primary data by conducting direct interviews with the parties involved in this research.&#13;
Based on the research results, the implementation of consumer protection for IndiHome service users in Banda Aceh City violates the law and the Consumer Protection Act, because the rights and obligations of consumers have not been fulfilled. The subscription contract given by PT. Telkom is still not implemented properly and accordingly then the services provided are also unclear and lack of information from PT. Telkom is given to consumers so that the agreement in the contract does not match what is given. Then the lack of consumer knowledge in defending their rights against fraud committed by PT. Telkom.&#13;
It is suggested to the government to provide guidance or socialization to consumers as well as advocacy, so that consumers must be aware of the existence of Consumer Protection. Then PT. Telkom is obliged to provide services properly and correctly with complete and clear information in accordance with the service contract from PT. Telkom, and the responsibility of PT. Telkom must fulfill its customers. So PT. Telkom is obliged to fulfill the agreement, not only consumers who must comply with the agreement.</note>
