Songket Aceh merupakan kain tenun tradisional khas Aceh yang biasanya digunakan pada Upacara Adat. Kain songket Aceh sangat jarang dipakai oleh masyarakat terutama para remaja karena tekstur kain yang kaku, pemakaiannya terbatas hanya untuk kesempatan tertentu, dan dengan harga yang relatif mahal di setiap kain tenun tersebut sehingga songket Aceh perlu dilestarikan dengan menerapkan motif songket tersebut pada produk fashion. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyeleksi motif songket Aceh yang sesuai untuk diterapkan pada produk fashion dengan teknik bordir, mendesain busana dengan menerapkan motif songket Aceh, menerapkan motif songket Aceh pada bagian-bagian tertentu dalam produk fashion, mengetahui tanggapan pengrajin songket, pengrajin bordir serta remaja terhadap penerapan motif songket Aceh pada busana casual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen terapan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini merupakan pengrajin songket, pengrajin bordir serta remaja usia 18-24 tahun berdomisili di Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian telah mendesain produk busana casual yang diterapkan motif songket Aceh serta mengkontruksikannya dalam outer dan kulot dengan teknik bordir menggunakan tusuk suji cair biasa dan tusuk suji cair setengah penuh. Pada eksperimen model pertama yaitu outer menggunakan bahan Sifon Arab berwarna lilac dengan penerapan motif songket Aceh (motif Pha Cangguk, motif Awan Sion, dan motif Bungong Meurante) pada bagian saku, bagian tengah belakang, dan bagian bawah depan busana, tanggapan responden menunjukan ketertarikan perpaduan motif, warna dan model busana yang diterapkan motif songket Aceh dengan teknik bordir sangat suka. Eksperimen kedua model kulot menggunakan bahan Katun Toyobo berwarna hitam dan pink muda dengan penerapan motif songket Aceh (motif Pha Cangguk serta motif Pucok Reubong) pada bagian depan kulot dengan penempatan motif asimetris antara kedua sisinya, tanggapan responden bahwa model, motif serta warna pada motif tersebut sangat menarik namun tampilan keseluruhan dari model tersebut tidaklah cocok dipakai oleh semua bentuk tubuh, namun jika dinilai dari kulotnya saja sudah sangat baik dan menarik.

Songket Aceh is a traditional Acehnese woven cloth that is usually used in traditional ceremonies. Aceh songket cloth is rarely used by the public, especially teenagers because of the stiff texture of the cloth, its use is limited to certain occasions, and the relatively expensive price for each woven cloth, so Acehnese songket needs to be preserved by applying the songket motif to fashion products. This study aims to select Aceh songket motifs that are suitable to be applied to fashion products with embroidery techniques, design clothing by applying Aceh songket motifs, apply Aceh songket motifs to certain parts of fashion products, find out the responses of songket craftsmen, embroidery craftsmen and teenagers to the application of the Aceh songket motif in casual clothing. This study uses an applied experimental research method with a qualitative approach. Respondents in this study were songket craftsmen, embroidery craftsmen and teenagers aged 18-24 years domiciled in Banda Aceh. The results of the study have designed casual clothing products that apply Aceh songket motifs and constructed them in the outer and culottes with embroidery techniques using ordinary liquid suji stitches and half full liquid suji stitches. In the first experimental model, namely the outer using lilac-colored Arabic chiffon material with the application of Aceh songket motifs (Pha Cangguk motif, Awan Sion motif, and Bungong Meurante motif) on the pocket, back center, and bottom of the front of the dress, respondents' responses showed interest in the combination. I really like the motifs, colors and fashion models that are applied to the Aceh songket motifs with embroidery techniques. The second experiment of the culottes model used black and light pink Toyobo cotton with the application of Aceh songket motifs (Pha Cangguk motifs and Pucok Reubong motifs) on the front of the culottes with asymmetrical placement of motifs between the two sides. very attractive but the overall appearance of the model is not suitable for use by all body shapes, but judging from the culottes alone it is very good and attractive.
