Danau Laut Tawar terletak di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Banyak kegiatan yang dilakukan disekitaran danau tersebut salah satunya budidaya keramba jaring apung yang dapat menyumbang unsur hara pada perairan. Salah satu organisme yang dapat memanfaatkan kelimpahan nutrien pada perairan yaitu perifiton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat struktur komunitas perifiton sebagai pakan alami di Danau Laut Tawar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari-April 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perifiton pada stasiun KJA terdapat 9 kelas yaitu Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Rhizopoda, Dinophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Trebouxiophyceae, Klebsormidiophyceae dan Coscinodiscophyceae. dan pada stasiun non KJA terdapat 7 kelas dimana kelas Klebsormidiophyceae dan kelas dinophyceae tidak didapatkan pada stasiun non KJA. Kelimpahan tertinggi pada stasiun KJA terdapat pada hari ke-7 dengan nilai 108.655 sel/cm² dan non KJA yaitu 24.552 sel/cm². Kelimpahan terendah terjadi pada hari ke-14 pada kedua stasiun. Indeks kenekaragaman perifiton pada stasiun KJA berkisar antara 2,3-2,76 dan non KJA berkisar antara 1,88-2,34 nilai tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Indeks keseragaman jenis perifiton stasiun KJA berkisar 0,61-0,75 pada stasiun non KJA berkisar antara 0,63-0,71 tergolong tinggi, sedangkan indeks dominansi stasiun KJA berkisar 0,09-0,15 dan stasiun non KJA mendapat nilai 0,12-0,24 tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan nilai yang diperoleh, struktur komunitas perifiton pada substrat buatan pada kawasan KJA dan non KJA di Danau Laut Tawar mengalami tekanan ekologi yang sedang, dengan komunitas berada dalam kondisi yang stabil. Hasil uji-t yang diperoleh nilai kelimpahan pada stasiun KJA dan stasiun non KJA memiliki perbedaan bahwa kelimpahan perifiton pada stasiun KJA lebih besar dibandingkan dengan stasiun non KJA.

Laut Tawar Lake is located in Central Aceh Regency. Many activities are carried out around the lake, one of which is the cultivation of floating net cages that can contribute nutrients to the waters. One of the organisms that can take advantage of the abundance of nutrients in the waters is periphyton. This study aims to examine the community structure of periphyton as natural food in Laut Tawar Lake. This research was conducted in January-April 2022. The results showed that there are 9 classes of periphyton at the KJA station, namely Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Rhizopoda, Dinophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Trebouxiophyceae, Klebsormidiophyceae and Coscinodiscophyceae. and at non-KJA stations there are 7 classes where the Klebsormidiophyceae class and the dinophyceae class are not found at non-KJA stations. The highest abundance at the KJA station was on the 7th day with a value of 108,655 cells/cm² and non-KJA was 24,552 cells/cm². The lowest abundance occurred on day 14 at both stations. Periphyton diversity index at KJA stations ranged from 2.3-2.76 and non-KJA ranged from 1.88-2.34 these values were included in the medium category. The periphyton index of KJA station type uniformity ranged from 0.61-0.75 at non-KJA stations ranging from 0.63-0.71 which was classified as high, while the dominance index of KJA stations ranged from 0.09-0.15 and non-KJA stations scored 0,12-0.24 is low. Based on the values obtained, the periphyton community structure on artificial substrates in the KJA and non-KJA areas in Lake Laut Tawar experienced moderate ecological stress, with the community in a stable condition. The results of the t-test obtained that the abundance values at KJA and non-KJA stations differed that the abundance of periphyton at KJA stations was greater than at non-KJA stations.
