Unit penangkapan purse seine merupakan hal yang penting dalam mengembangkan kegiatan perikanan tangkap serta usaha penangkapan ikan yang berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di lapangan alat tangkap yang dikategorikan sangat produktif untuk menangkap ikan pelagis saat ini. Penggunaan alat tangkap purse seine semakin pesat, tetapi proses produksi dalam usaha penangkapannya masih banyak dipengaruhi oleh fungsi-fungsi produksi. Informasi mengenai pengaruh fungsi produksi sangat diperlukan dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil tangkapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh fungsi-fungsi produksi perikanan kapal purse seine terhadap hasil tangkapan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Lhok Pawoh Aceh Selatan, dengan jumlah armada sebanyak 11 unit dan ukuran kapal lebih dari 20 GT (gross tonnage). Fungsi produksi yang diamati, yaitu ukuran kapal (X1), Panjang Jaring (X2), Lebar Jaring (X3), Daya Mesin (X4),Jumlah BBM (X5), Jumlah lampu (X6), Jumlah Es (X7), Jumlah ABK (X8) dan Lama trip (X9). Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu persamaan regresi linear berganda untuk mengukur besar pengaruh fungsi produksi terhadap hasil tangkapan. Hasil analisis secara simultan menunjukkan p-value sebesar 0.002 dengan tingkat signifikan 0.05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu secara simultan, kesembilan fungsi produksi perikanan kapal purse seine berpengaruh nyata terhadap hasil tangkapan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Lhok Pawoh. Namun, secara parsial, ada delapan fungsi produksi yang berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap hasil tangkapan, yaitu ukuran kapal (X1), Panjang Jaring (X2), Lebar Jaring (X3), Daya Mesin (X4),Jumlah BBM (X5), Jumlah lampu (X6), Jumlah Es (X7) dan Lama trip (X9).

Purse seine fishing units are important in developing fishing activities and sustainable fishing efforts. Based on the results of research in the field, purse seine fishing gear has a contribution and is one of the fishing gear categorized as very productive for catching pelagic fish today. Although the use of purse seine fishing gear is increasing, the production process in its capture efforts is still influenced by production functions. Regarding information about the influence of production functions, an effort is needed to improve catches. This research aims to identify the influence of purse seine fishing production functions on catches at Lhok Pawoh fish landing base South Aceh Selatan, with a fleet of 11 units and a vessel size of more than 20 GT (gross tonnage). The observed production functions are vessel size (X1), length of the net (X2), wide net (X3), engine power (X4), total of fuel oil (X5), total of lamp (X6), total of ice (X7), total of crew (X8), and long operation (X9). The data was collected using survey techniques through questionnaire dissemination and interviews. The data analysis used in this study is a multiple linear regression equation to measure the large influence of production functions on catches. The results of simultaneous analysis showed a p-value of 0.002 with a significant level of 0.05. In conclusion, simultaneously, the nine functions of fishing production of purse seine vessels have a real effect on the catch at the Lhok Pawoh fish landing base. But partially, there are eight production functions that have a very real effect on the catch, namely: the vessel size (X1), length of the net (X2), wide net (X3), engine power (X4), total of fuel oil (X5), total of lamp (X6), total of ice (X7), and long operation (X9).
