Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian ransum komersil yang disubstitusi dengan bahan pakan fermentasi, ditambah probiotik dan tepung daun  indigofera terhadap  efisiensi ekonomis pemeliharaan ayam broiler.   Penelitian ini dilakukan di Field Lab,  Jurusan Peternakan,  Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh  tanggal  30 Mei-6 Juni 2013.  Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 96 ekor  DOC broiler, strain CP,  produksi  PT.  Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm,  Medan.  Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL),  terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan.  Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah penambahan tepung daun indigofera sebanyak 0.0,  0.5, 1,0 dan 1,5 % ke dalam ransum komersil yang disubstitusi dengan 10% bahan pakan fermentasi ditambah 0,5% probiotik.   Parameter yang diamati terdiri dari produksi ayam broiler (berat badan akhir dan konsumsi ransum),  ekonomis pemeliharaan ayam broiler (income over feed cost dan income), dan kelayakan usaha (B/C dan R/C ratio).  Data produksi dianalisis dengan Analysis of variance (ANOVA),  jika terdapat perbedaan yang nyata, maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan (Steel dan Torrie, 1993). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun indigofera di dalam ransum komersil dengan substitusi 10% bahan pakan fermentasi ditambah 0,5% probiotik tidak nyata (P&gt;0.05) menurunkan berat badan akhir dan total konsumsi ransum ayam broiler selama lima minggu pemeliharaan. Penggunaan tepung tersebut menurunkan harga ransum, namun biaya variabel pemeliharaan ayam broiler hanya dapat ditekan pada penggunaan  0,5% tepung daun indigofera, juga menurunkan income over feed cost (IOFC) dan total income.  Secara ekonomis,  pemberian tepung daun indigofera dalam substitusi 10% bahan pakan fermentasi ditambah 0,5% probiotik masih layak dan menguntungkan digunakan dalam pemeliharaan ayam broiler.    &#13;

The aim of present study was to analyze economical efficiency of raising broiler chickens fed on balanced diet substituted by 10% fermented feed and 0.5% probiotik supplementation and adding different level of  indigofera leaf meal.  The study was conducted in Field Laboratory,  Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture,  Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, from  May 30 until June 6,  2013.  Materials used in this study were 96  day old chicks of broiler chickens; strain CP,  produced by  PT.  Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm,  Medan.  The study was designed into completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication was experimental unit comprising of 6 chicks.  The treatments were adding indigofera leaf meal with the levels of  0.0,  0.5, 1,0 and 1,5%, respectively into balanced diet substituted by 10% fermentation feed  and 0,5% probiotik supplementation.  Parameters examined were broiler production (final body weight and feed consumption), income (income over feed cost and total income), and raising economic benefit (B/C and R/C ratio).  Data of  production was analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA)  and  continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) if the differences among treatments were detected (Steel and Torrie, 1993).  The results of study showed that supplementing of indigofera leaf meal in the balanced diet substituted by 10% fermentation feed and 0.5% probiotik supplementation did not significantly (P&gt;0.05) affect on final body weight and feed consumption of broiler chickens. Supplementing indigofera leaf meal reduced feed price, but variable cost declined at the level of  not more than 0.5% of  that meal.   However,  supplementing of indigofera reduced income over feed cost (IOFC) and total income.  In conclusion, supplementing indigofera leaf meal still met to economical advantages (B/C&gt;1 and R/C&gt;0).        &#13;
