Covid-19 merupakan suatu penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan sistem pernapasan dan telah ditetapkan sebagai pandemi oleh world health organization (who). pandemi covid-19 memiliki dampak terhadap berbagai tenaga kesehatan, terutama dokter gigi. praktik kedokteran gigi memiliki resiko tinggi terkena infeksi silang dari covid-19 yang dapat terjadi antara dokter gigi, staf klinik gigi serta pasien. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat kota banda aceh terhadap kunjungan perawatan gigi dan mulut ke dokter gigi dalam kondisi pandemi covid-19. penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan menggunakan teknik random sampling. penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan kepada subjek secara online melalui media sosial. subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 111 orang yang terdiri dari 31 orang laki-laki dan 80 orang perempuan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan 58,6% masyarakat memiliki persepsi positif terhadap mengunjungi praktik dokter gigi selama pandemi dan 41,4% memiliki persepsi negatif. sebanyak 48,6% memiliki persepsi positif terhadap sikap dan keyakinan melakukan perawatan ke dokter gigi di masa pandemi terkait resiko tertular covid19 dan 51,4% memiliki persepsi negatif. kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah pandemi covid-19 memiliki dampak negatif terhadap persepsi sebagian besar masyarakat kota banda aceh dalam melakukan perawatan gigi dan mulut ke dokter gigi di masa pandemi covid-19, meskipun sebagian besarnya memiliki persepsi positif namun masih banyak juga masyarakat yang khawatir untuk mengunjungi dan melakukan perawatan ke dokter gigi selama pandemi covid-19. kata kunci: persepsi, covid-19, dokter gigi, perawatan gigi dan mulut



Abstract

Covid-19 is a disease that can cause respiratory system disorders and has been claimed a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on various health workers, especially dentists. Dental practice has a high risk of cross-infection from Covid-19 which can occur between dentists, dental clinic staff and patients. This study aims to determine the perception of the people of Banda Aceh City towards dental and oral care visits to the Dentist during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is descriptive and uses a random sampling technique. The measuring instrument in this study is a questionnaire given to research subjects online through social media. The total subjects in this study were 111 people consisting of 31 men and 80 women. The results showed that 58.6% of the public had a positive perception of visiting the dentist's practice during the pandemic and 41.4% had a negative perception. 48.6% have a positive perception of attitudes and beliefs about going to the dentist for treatment during the pandemic related to the risk of contracting Covid-19 and 51.4% have a negative perception. The conclusion in this study is that the Covid-19 pandemic has an negative impact on the perception of most people in Banda Aceh City in taking out dental and oral care to the dentist during the Covid-19 pandemic, although most of them have positive perceptions, there are still many people who are worried about visiting and doing treatment to the dentist during the Covid-19 pandemic.
